There's no such dichotomy. It's not as if anal intercourse is the only thing that MSM get up to.

Do whatever feels right for you. That may involve topping and/or bottoming on terms that work for you, or it may involve neither of these things. Straight people, and some gay people too, think that if if two men are to have sex it MUST involve anal sex and that gay men are strict bottoms or tops. That is not true. It’s not like you have to be boned up a wall and unable to move after. Explore and try things.
