It's no wonder: he gets free political advertising from CNN hourly and at least daily from the networks--doesn't have to spend a damned dime for it. Could be that he'll be elected with the media doing free advertising for him.
It's amazing to watch him blow lies out of his wherever on a daily basis...

Oh Donald, lie to me! Lie to me harder! Lie to me deeper!
Jim Gilmore is probably the most credible of all republican candidates. Yet still he does not seem to be in touch with what is really going on in the world. Jim Gilmore on the Issues

There just does not seem to be any candidate that has a long term view other than " force the American way upon others"

What exactly is the American way these days? Is it the will of the American people, or the will of the few privileged American people?
Congratulations America. Your #2 Most Admired Man is a racist misogynist bigot. And he ties with the Pope.

Trump ties with Pope Francis in U.S. poll for second most-admired man in the world

Look, the FACT is, Trump is driven solely by one or any combination of THREE things, money, power, and ego, and ALL that he says or does serves THOSE ends.

Truth is, for all his bluster and bullshit, he's LESS dangerous than say someone like Ted Cruz. Why? Because Cruz actually BELIEVES the same thing Trump SELLS.

Whereas Trump says what he knows his GULLIBLE constituency WANTS to hear, whether he believes it or not. Hell, he wrote a frekin' BOOK about it... "The Art of the Deal"... it's all about SELLING oneself, deception, and "truthful hyperbole".

That's why he can make up shit on the fly with little or NO substantiation and they'll LOVE him for it. An opportunist for SURE. But the BULK of the blame lies with the assholes who EAT IT UP.

Trump & Truthful Hyperbole

Based on my research and observations in writing “Save the Males,” conservative white guys aren’t so much trying to hold on to power and privilege as much as they’re trying to find their footing in a culture they feel devalues and disrespects them. They’re tired of hearing that they’re the source of all problems. They’re sick of being the single demographic about which one can say anything at all and suffer only the annoyance of deafening applause.

Into this world gone awry drops Trump, the rich and powerful Wizard of Fifth Avenue, the deal-making champ with plush planes, a Palm Beach palace and a pin-up girl for a wife. His politically incorrect shtick may often be pure meanness masquerading as truth, but to those who’ve watched the country of their childhood reshaped into something unfamiliar, it sounds like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing Handel’s “Messiah.”

Well that explains why he's on par with the pope. It doesn't explain though why his supporters are ok with killing innocent civilians.

I tend to agree with you about Gilmore - as Va. Guv. he was honest and by the standard of most in the party today reasonable. He was and is a little too far right for me, but compared to the rest of the bat shit crazy clown car that makes up the "credible" nominees he is a breath of fresh air. That is something that has not place in the GOP these days. Kaisich was a brief source of hope but he lost me with the proposed Department of Judeo - Christian Values. The right has now insured that Hillary will be the next president. They make it easier everyday.

Thanks for the link, Sargon.

The article succinctly states in no-bullshit, bold faced frankness the absolute and unmitigated TRUTH of it all, a truth that I've long perceived and upon which I have, on several occasions prior, forecast the probable outcome of who will win the GOP nomination, IF not the general election itself.

The title of the article certainly caught my attention. I relaxed a bit when I realized the article was written by Kathleen Parker, a terrific conservative journalist, who once again incorporates wit and sarcasm all at once. What this article also highlights is quite an interesting concept, as found in the following paragraph:

Based on my research and observations in writing “Save the Males,” conservative white guys aren’t so much trying to hold on to power and privilege as much as they’re trying to find their footing in a culture they feel devalues and disrespects them. They’re tired of hearing that they’re the source of all problems. The irony is that many here can hold themselves personally accountable for supporting this phenomenon. Call it white disenfranchisement. Call is white privilege (Real? Imagined?). In the end, you may all have no one else to blame but yourselves for helping elect the next president.

^ If by "supporting white disenfranchisement" (File under:

prospect.org: Conservative Media and the White Victimization Narrative
works.bepress.com: "Playing The Race Card: White Americans’ Sense of Victimization in Resp" by Brett Hammon
www.laprogressive.com: Crazies on Parade
This Week in White Victimization | Deep South Daily ... etc. etc.)

you mean the pointing out of systemic racial disparities and holding those responsible accountable, RATHER than ignoring it, pretending it doesn't exist, sweeping it under the rug, and "black people should just cooperate more"...

then hell yeah, we talk about it.

And I wouldn't expect that to END anytime soon under a Trump presidency. Unless he and those of your ilk shut down the internet.

But thanks ANYWAY for confirming who YOU'LL be voting for.

Hold on.....wait...so if donald "kill innocent people because terrorism" trump wins it's somehow all other race's and gender's fault for what? Pointing out problems that we all should be dealing with? Is this like a new level of blame displacement or just the highest of idiotic statements.

Once again jizz. What you're basically saying is if america votes for the dumbest most uncaring war mongering racist sexist asshole imaginable it isn't the fault of those that voted for him..it's the fault of those pointing out his insanity?

Do you even know what the meaning of irony is?

Once more. There is a presidential hopeful out there that is ok with killing innocent people, ok with letting people die, ok with treating women like shit, treating people of other races and religions like they don't belong in america, wants to brand all muslims as terrorist if he wins because people that believe him vote for him then it's the fault of the ones that didn't?

That is by far one of thee most mind numbingly stupid things you've said in a very long time. You just excused not only the actions of trump but every last person who will vote for him.

You my friend are laughably stupid. I mean damn. Lets go over that one more time. In your own words.

The irony is that many here can hold themselves personally accountable for supporting this phenomenon. Call it white disenfranchisement. Call is white privilege (Real? Imagined?). In the end, you may all have no one else to blame but yourselves for helping elect the next president.

Think i'm officially offended. Not by the racial aspect of it but the "how can someone be so stupid" part of it.

Whats next? People who talk about terrorism somehow feeds terrorist one ups?

What about crime? Are cops making crime worse because they talk about it?

Guess we might as well hang up trying to save the planet cause we talked about it so much. lol

Seriously, and i mean this from the bottom of my heart. You give white people a bad name. Pretty sure white people cringe every time you type something. lol

He sure as fuck isn't this white guys white knight and I find it (the assertion in the article) as equally offensive as trying to associate all African Americans with Ben Carson or Obama for that matter.

The bigger problem as usual will be lack of anything to choose from with the candidates for people in the middle that are extremists of either party. It will be another election of voting for the lesser of the evils as opposed to someone that remotely has your best interest in mind.

Let us not forget that this is the same person who blames Obama for the racial divide in this country and who posits that black athletes and celebrities are responsible for setting examples for black people.

So it should come as absolutely NO surprise that the same person who has either ignored or dismissed just about EVERY concern expressed in THESE threads would be of the notion that expressing said concerns has resulted in the "disenfranchisement" of white people.

It'd be laughable if not for the fact that it so pathetically exemplifies the mindset of quite a number of 'em.

And proud of myself. I don't have to take others down to make myself feel better.

In case I wasn't clear, I meant *I'm* the whitest person anyone here is likely to know. Albinos make fun of me.

As for taking others down . . . It's to be expected that those in power, both on the current scene and looking back to the past, will receive a lot of criticism. People being what they are, and power being what it is, wouldn't you say a lot of that criticism is warranted?
