Interesting theory. Given his towering narcissism and vanity it wouldn't be a surprise.

www.washingtonpost.com: This 20-minute roasting may have turned Donald Trump into a presidential candidate

You can see in almost everything Trump now does -- from his stump speech sneering at the Washington establishment to his insistence that reporters are the "most corrupt" people -- the scars from that night in Washington. Trump has used that April night almost five years ago as fuel to stoke the outrage, anger and alienation that sit at the heart of his campaign.

Trump hasn't just crashed the Washington party. He's flipped over all of the tables and poured wine on everyone's tuxedos. And he's loving every minute of it.

This has popped up before - I really do believe it is true - the prodding that made him run. I guess we do have to blame Obama for it after all.

True, in my city and county and the counties all around me,..Mexicans are the majority..From miles away looking at stats I'm wrong; However, waiting in line and/or sitting in a waiting room, watching a Mexican mom with four kids holding a baby, And right next to her, another mom with two kids, all I do is look around and count.., I do the math in my head..Its the same with Fat people, More Fat people shop at Costco and Walmart than anywhere. The stats are stats..numbers on paper..
If I drive 4 hrs. North or east, no, Of course I won't see the same scene..
A lil personal anecdote; 1912, Croatian Grandpa along with other Croatians who traveled with him on the boat, were "steered" towards Watsonville, CA. since it was similar in climate and geography to the village they came from..When I was a kid, most of the adults I saw were European , Croatian, Italian, etc..100 years later, Watsonville is once again full of Mexicans, what it was before the Europeans arrived.

Wait, this can't be?! You LIVE there asshole (the word you threw at Conan).

Maybe you need to think before you attack, and attack you do to anyone who challenges you - - calling people "asshole," "Mr. Fuckin." Get a grip boob, you're unraveling. As I stated, you need to get out more. Your observations also highlight a level of ignorance often mocked on this site: I see something, therefore it must be, without providing any backup And, I will add, your logic above exhibits signs of both stereotype, and racism. Nice job. Giving trump a run for the money, eh?

Ultimately they only care about winning and sharing in the spoils even. I hope he picks Sarah Palin as his VP. The perfect clowns at the top of the GOP.

......conservative economist David Brooks argued that unbeknownst to itself, the Republican Party is having “a Joe McCarthy moment” — meaning that history will judge people by “where they stood at this time,” and that those “who walked with Trump will be tainted forever after for the degradation of standards and the general election slaughter.”

I'm hoping for VP Louie Gohmert. He is proof positive you don't need a double digit IQ to be elected to public office. What a beautiful pair they would make.

Maybe but do recall he gladly accepted her endorsement and showered her with accolades ;)

Sure, but I really believe that's as far as it goes--it's not like we've heard much from or about her since then. Trump making her his running mate would be too much history repeating itself.

Then again, I'm glad I didn't bet any money trying to predict this whole election season.

Living in California it is most obvious to me that Trump's positions are not based in facts. We have a huge population of Mexicans and Mexican-Americans here. The future predictions about the influence of people from our southern borders have already come to pass. I don't expect Trump or anyone else can change that now. Obama has be deporting people faster than any other president but that hasn't made a dent in the immigration we have experienced. And most minorities are firmly in Clinton's camp. Where else can they go?

haha
even i can see the houmourous side of who wouild possibly be the VP in conjunction with Trump, if he made it in

geesus what an absolute shambolic happening that entire fiasco would be, and 4 years of it??
mind you i doubt he would allow his chosen VP to have a voice, if he/she was strong enough to be some sort of competition to him/his nuttiness duh?

Hopefully a Palin endorsement will be the kiss of death.

*slight tangent* I wonder if she can still see Russia from her house?

If Donald did become pres...which I do not think he has a hope, maybe if Hill is his opposition. If he did become Pres, I would not like to be in his shoes when the angry crazies who support him realise he is nothing but a bag of wind and has no hope of fulfilling his way-out there ideas.

Then I think it will be a case of Donald......DUCK. He will have no-one else to blame but himself for inciting, playing and using unhappy people for his personal advantage.

Writing is on the wall if he is not more respectful and aware of what he is doing.

The good news is she doesn't need Ohio which you can't count on and was responsible for giving the planet the Reign of Error that was the George W. Bush administration.

Republicans have a massive electoral map problem that has nothing to do with Donald Trump

if Clinton wins Florida and carries the 19 states (plus D.C.) that have voted for the Democratic presidential nominee in each of the last six elections, she will be the 45th president. It's that simple.

Here's what that map would look like:

Back home!

I joke :) But in seriousness, "truthfulness" is not the goal of the game he - or most politicians play. The game is to say whatever necessary to win the most votes. Trump started his run as a protest/troll candidate of sorts - and he's run in earlier elections. I imagine his goal at the beginning was to expose himself to more business opportunities - you wouldn't believe how much foreign money is laundered through Super PACs. This whole thing just snowballed (beyond even his wildest imagination, I'm sure) as he just happened be the right persona at the right time to expose how disaffected the GOP rank and file really was with the status quo.

In the historical sense, all of this nonsense is normal. A Constitution, and a political landscape, cannot remain static beyond a few generations. Look at how the Roman Republic transitioned into monarchy. All it takes is enough widespread economic pain and a sufficiently wealthy, military (or police) supported person bold enough to "cross the Rubicon" and the US goes the same way.
