Two things you can do if you don't like/want the the doughnut effect: 1 get a more narrow size cylinder, or (2) apply some form of adheasive tape around that area prior to begining your session. I've no doubt some wil tell you a third option and that isto not pump at all, but then, what do they know abot it?

That happenned to me as well, I stopped using the pump, I found it useless anyway, just use a cockring, it has a much better long lasting effect, and you don't end up with that donut look.

I've got a third option, and it's not abstaining from pumping.

Ever heard of condom pumping? It's like your approach of adhesive tape around the area in question, but it covers the whole shaft, and no adhesive to deal with. Put a condom on before pumping, with a small hole in the tip. The condom applies counterforce to the vacuum, and reduces the donut.

If you are NOT allergic to natural latex rubber, try this:

Measure your circumcision scar- how much shaft length it takes up when you're fully erect.

Cut a piece out of a bicycle inner tube that same length. You'll have fabricated a sleeve which you can slide over and then just past your glans, leaving it in place to maintain constant compression on your circumcision scar. (Get the picture? I don't think I need to draw a schematic.)

It will probably be pretty tight, but not uncomfortable. (It goes without saying that if it hurts, stop immediately and reevaluate what you're doing.)

The compression you're looking for should be just enough to prevent lymph from flowing into the scar tissue, but not enough to prevent blood from flowing into, and returning from, the glans.

Then pump as you normally do. Again- if there's pain, stop. And again- if you're allergic to rubber, don't even do this to begin with.

Using this method, you'll be able to swell your shaft and glans without overswelling your circumcision scar.

Bicycle inner tubes come in different sizes. I think they're usually about an inch to an inch and a quarter in diameter when not stretched, but can be stretched to beyond three inches in diameter, so they should be able to accomodate just about any penis.

That is all.

Years ago when I first started pumping, I used 2 inch wide surgical tape and to avoid the tape sticking to my skin, coated gauze with Lubiderm moisturizing lotion underneath the tape. Yes it was a bit messy but found that without the lotion the skin dried out. As I'm allergic to latex, I couldn't use the method that Joe described above. After about 6 months of pumping all this became unnecessary as long as my first two 20 minute sessions were at low pressures.

What? Max Delong's cock is a straight tube... one of the most even pump jobs out there... that statement makes no sense whatsoever...

Do you know why you get a donut? Because the tissue that makes up your circumcision scar gets blown up like a balloon when you pump... it is the natural thing for scar tissue to do when it is under vacuum pressure. All of these techniques will work... but you will need to keep pumping, since the donut only appears the first five years of dedicated pumping. The donut is always there, but the rest of the shaft catches up, eventually producing a much more even looking penis. Condom pumping (highly recommended), water pumping (recommended), constriction (NOT recommended) will all reduce the size of the donut in relation to the shaft, but it will be a fine distinction and is really splitting hairs.

The people with the biggest problem with donuts are those who have a high scrotal insertion... a "turkey neck" if you will. Their scrotums can start out anywhere between the normal area for the sac to attach to the underside of the penis and sometimes as high as 3/4 up the shaft. These high scrotal insertion points make it almost impossible to prevent ball sac migration in the tube when you pump with even the smallest tubes. these people often suffer from the donut the most.

Condom pumping is the best way for preventing scrotal migration, although getting the condom to stay on the base of the penis is gonna be what separates the men from the boys I am afraid. You will have to experiment on ways to do this.

Condom pumping is slower and more arduous, the latex prevents the vacuum pressure from really hitting the penis and the condom also is like another layer of fascia tissue that prevents your penis from expanding. This will lengthen the time of your session almost 100%, but the pump is a bit more even, you get way less scrotal migration with a smaller donut and thicker shaft... you will also have to figure out how to get lube between your penis' skin and the latex condom, 'cause the condom will dry it out if you are gonna have a marathon session for size.

Condom pumping also has another interesting side benefit... it PREVENTS WATER BLISTERS like no other technique I have tried (applying cold to the head of the penis works great in conjunction with the condom pumping). For those of you who are allergic to latex condoms... aren't there natural condoms out there? I'll bet that they perform even better than latex condoms for pumping purposes.

The worst thing is condom size... the MAGNUM XL's are just not very big. They work great for me unpumped (permanent growth anyone?), but are like a wet suit on my cock after any kind of expansion. The Theyfit condoms held so much promise, but I guess they went out of business.

Good luck and get to pumpin' my friends...

Excellent post tripod!

I prefer water pumping as opposed to condom pumping because the water doesn't restrict the tissue of the penis as condoms do. Water pumping has two big benefits: Even pressure, and excellent heat retention. Water places tension evenly over the entire surface of the penis, nooks and crannies and all. Pressure isn't focused only on the weaker areas of the circumcision scar. Heat retention with water is excellent and the heat helps condition the tissues to prevent injury.

The downside is that water pumping takes more time, effort, and you must NOT drop the pump in the water. It's also more bulky in that you need a plenum to capture the water you pump out of the cylinder so it doesn't get into the pump itself.

Thank you good sir!!!!

Extremely well said...

Gosh, all of those excellent reasons for water pumping make me wish that my shower was a tub, yes, that's right... a tub. I've always thought that the best way to water pump is to sit in a nice warm bath and use a brass pump. That way you can at least start out your session for the first half an hour or so and then finish off by pumping the rest of the session in a chair next to the tub so that any excess water being drawn out of the pump won't get the floor wet. I've tried wet pumping without a brass pump and it is next to impossible. Whenever I move out of my house (I rent my parent's guest house, I don't guess that I can find a better deal anywhere else! lol!) I will be looking for a nice good tub so that I can experiment with some water pumping!!

a lot of VERY good advise posted on here. see which one works best and easiest for you. and believe it or not, there ARE guys out there that love getting the donut effect. I personally don't though. in my pics in the tube you can see i found a jelly wide rind to try and combat the donut effect. I take it off after the first 30 minutes pumping and then things balance out in the next 30 minutes. just go slow!!!
