Hi, I'm new here, and I just want some help in figuring out what my true length is. I've measured my erect penis several ways, but I've gotten some varied results. When using a soft tape measure and running it along the top of my penis I'm a little over 7 inches, and when I use a flexible ruler and bend it down to follow my downward curved penis, I'm the same size as when I use the soft tape measure. Even when I measure from the side of my penis, I'm a little over the 7 inch mark. All of these measurements are also done without me pressing in, so I guess I'm doing non-bone-pressed measurements, instead I just start the measuring from my pubic bone but without pressing in any. My main problem is whenever I try to measure the "official" way where one is supposed to put a wooden ruler flat on top of their penis. I have a noticeable downward curve to my erection, so measuring this way I always lose nearly a half-inch. Some sites say that you should straighten the penis but when I do this I'm frustrated to know that I've still lost nearly a half-inch. I guess I just want to know why is this and which measurement do I trust? Obviously as a guy, I'd like to think that the higher measurements are my accurate and legitimate length, but I just want to know what measurement gives me my true and honest length. I have some pictures too.

Thank you for reading this, and I hope I don't come off crazy or immature, but I think that it's fairly common for guys to worry about size I guess. Either way, I appreciate the help or input.

I'd measure on the top and bottom and average the two. That's what I do for my upward curve: assume an imaginary line through the center of my penis is the true length. I curve right too so a soft tape measure works best for me, but still isn't perfect. I suppose you could use a string and measure it. I figure saying 7" is 'close enough' since it's 6.5" on top and 7.5" on the bottom.

Would this be a truly accurate way to measure? I guess my insecurity stems from the fact that I'm in the seven inch territory with every way of measuring except the most common way where the person puts the ruler flat on top of their dick. Even when I straighten my curve against the ruler I still am not as big as when I put the ruler beside my penis while holding my dick, or when I put a soft tape measure on top of my penis. I'm sorry if I'm annoying you guys though, my problems seem pretty silly I know, but I appreciate all of ya'll that have replied so far.

The other day, I measured again with the ruler on top and I straightened my erection but instead of standing up straight, I bent down to see the exact measurement and my penis is 7 1/16 inches long. I kept the ruler straight and I didn't press it in so is this really my accurate measurement? But yet when I stand up straight and look down, my measurement is under 7?
