Somehow I just don't trust food prepared in New York to live up to the designation as Cajun.

dmw, this is not entirely true. the next time you're in NY i will post some of the great places to go in hopes that you'll go there. hopefully, this will obliterate your doubts of new york cajun food. :tongue:

Cajun food is so good that a (cajun) restaurant that would only be average in La. is consistently rated one of the very best overall in the Puget sound region.

that, my dear, is because you haven't been to ANY of the good places.

the real problem is that I'm looking for good TexMex and no one up here has yet to live up to the standards of a good, cheap, greasy, cheesey enchilada. Feel free to recommend though if you have any suggestions.
