Drug test?

Have been eating whole grain bagels with poppy seeds and other assorted organic seeds for the last two weeks. Would I flunk a drug test?

Thanks I read where people have failed after having poppy seed rolls the night before a test.

Yeah, that's not reassuring at all. The last thing I'd want is for a guy driving a skid loader in a warehouse or a crane operator to cheat and get cleared to work.

Similar to the alcohol impaired thinking they are just fine to drive, etc.

I'm close to a couple guys who are in senior management positions at manufacturing plants. There are good paying jobs--excellent paying jobs--going empty because no one can pass the drug tests. These are skilled blue-collar machine operator jobs that can pay six-figures with overtime. And they're empty.

Poppy seed rarely causes a non-negative result any more. But disclose it just the same on your pretest questionnaire. If it does show up, the person reviewing it can then refer to the disclosure and make an accurate determination, whether pass, retest, or fail.
