Factual, and beautifully written, bbucko. Thanks for sparing me from having to "be the heavy" for once!
Both pseudoephedrine and ephedrine were taken off the market in "the war on drugs." Both were safe and effective when used as directed. I have some severe food allergies, and used to be able to buy the ephedrine tablets to keep on hand for emergencies. Now, I have to buy the MUCH more expensive and bulky Epi-Kits, and carry around with me. I would much rather have the tablets than have to use the injectables. Taking an Epi-Kit through airport security is a nightmare, and preparing the injection and injection site is much more difficult than just popping a couple of tablets. As a side note, I'm furious with the users and makers of meth. They've made a completely legal and useful drug of pseudephedrine a pain in the ass to buy for those who suffer chronic sinus issues. Sure, there is an alternative medication, now, but it does not nearly work as well.
Agreed, and I'm no angel either. But the wording of the OP raised some red flags for me, as I'm sure it did for you... otherwise, you probably would not have written that excellent post.I really try to not be hypocritical about this.
And I am hardly angel material. Anyone who was a teenager in the 70s and who claims never to have done drugs is either a liar or a Mormon. Between the ages of 15 and 23 I did just about everything (short of injecting heroin). This is not a boast, just a statement of fact. I understand the allure of enhancing the sexual experience with drugs, as I did it many times..
Actually poz/poz guys having sex together is NOT a non-issue....There is a phenomenon called RE-INFECTION......The HIV virus has remarkable properties of being able to mutate.....A poz guy who is doing well with low viral load and high t-cells can be re-infected with a more resitant strain of HIV than they currently have.....As a matter of health, I would advise all poz guys to"Play safely" even if it's with another poz guy...... I am HIV+ and only have sex with poz guys (it's called serosorting), so that's a non-issue for me.
I wasn't going to post about that before now, but since you mention it...Actually poz/poz guys having sex together is NOT a non-issue....There is a phenomenon called RE-INFECTION......The HIV virus has remarkable properties of being able to mutate.....A poz guy who is doing well with low viral load and high t-cells can be re-infected with a more resitant strain of HIV than they currently have.....As a matter of health, I would advise all poz guys to"Play safely" even if it's with another poz guy.....

When "not playing safely" with someone whose immune system is compromised, doesn't that multiply the risks for bacterial and fungal infections?
True, sorry for my minor sidetrack. It is worth repeating, though, that meth use does tend to impair inhibition and contribute to more lax attitudes toward condom use and other safer practices.Anyway, this thread is about meth. We all agree that Tina's not a good idea. Anyone who'd like to can start (or resurrect) a thread about unprotected sex, including the one I started here.

Is it true that meth can increase sex drive and performance?
