I saw the swimming competition this weekend and was wondering if anyone thought that the swimming suits were odd. From the waist near the belly button the whole way down to there ankles were covered. Usually these guy are about busting out of there speedos but not this weekend. Does anyone know if this is a new policy. I didn't see the women wearing so much like the men were.

I didn't see the women, so I can't comment.

Honestly, I tuned in just to look at cute guys in Speedos. I was disappointed to say the least. I'm guessing these new suits are somehow more aerodynamic in the water and increase their speed.

Since competition swimming success is based on being the fastest, not the most well endowed, these suits help with streamlining the swimmer's body and reducing drag.

I agree. The new neoprene suits have lessened my enjoyment of swimming competitions. Furthermore, I thought "gymn-" was Greek for "naked", I want to see more naked gymnastics, too.
