I think any tribal armband-type tattoo that doesn't actually connect all the way around the arm is dumb as hell. Chalk Chinese letters up to that because "justice" or "the boss!" really might mean "cheap sushi 2 for one dollar," "egg drop soup," "stupid Americans."

I totally agree and don't get an arm band unless you have some guns.

Don't do it. I work with art and yet I tend to really have not gotten into this ink world. Yes, I do see some that are cool but know this. The trend is close to an end. This is how I know. Teens don't want to look like their parents in general. We are close to the generation having tats about to have teens in high school. So if you get one know that some ink can not be laser removed as everyone thinks. Think it through.

Have you ever seen a tattoo done with such fine resolution on pristine skin, let alone having do deal with the uneven texture and terrain of taste buds?

It's trivial to do a simple overlay of two images using your favorite image-processing software. I like the skill employed to produce this tongue image. (Except the artist got the mechanics of the zipper wrong! D'oh!)

I have two which I'm quite happy with. I thought about a 3rd and was unsure so I had it done in henna which lasted about 2 weeks. I decided against after that.

Anyone who is not 100% sure consider a henna one first and see how you like it after the novelty wears off. :wink:

My 16 year old son and his freinds talk about getting tattoos some day. I tell him to really think about how it's going to look when he's older, trying to get a job, meeting his future in-laws, no longer seeing "Monica Forever", no longer interestred in his favorite band, and, more importantly, no longer trendy. Although I have a tattoo that I still like, I tell my kids NO WAY.

I don't mean to offend anyone, but what's the deal with non-Asain people getting Asian characters? And non-Moari people getting Moari symbols? Huh?
