This always happens on popular threads of hot guys who suddenly stop posting pics of their bodies to social media. It creates boredom/frustration on message boards. With no new content to drool over and/or criticize, we start gossiping about Dylan’s sugardaddies or his friends or his ears.
And what about those of us who have no sexual attraction to him at all. I'm guess I'm what you would call a "hater" not because I secretly like him but because I think he's a terrible person and I like saying it. I want people to know it. I just looked at the podcast with David Mazouz well most of it. David was totally engaged in the interview and seemed genuinely happy to be their talking with Dylan. Dylan was engaged as well, he asked a few good questions but he seemed to be faking his way through parts of it. Like for instance he claims to be a Batman fan but he only knows the most superficial aspects of the Batman character.
It's interesting that these two became friends after the podcast. I'm looking forward to seeing the Ethan Cutkosky podcast when it's posted. Ethan hasn't done many interviews that I can see just from a google search but he's willing to give Dylan an hour or so apparently.

As for relationships - before he decided to become a Youtuber (and scam two grand out of suckers to launch his channel) his Youtube profile showed his favourite videos. One was a Dan Savage video titled "why monogamy is ridiculous", so yeah, he wasn't ever going to be the faithful boyfriend.
I tend to think that they had an open relationship, but couldn't admit that publicly because their tween fans couldn't have accepted something like that. That, or Jackson is really really dumb.

Based on Jackson's reactions when he found out Dylan was cheating( constantly questioning Dylan about where he was, Dylan's friends trolling Jackson about Dylan not being where he said he would be, fighting and getting drunk and arrested etc) I would say that no they didn't have an open relationship. Just my guess. His sister and other Jackson friends have been complaining for a year about how Dylan treats Jackson. Plus we have Jacob and Joey Mills talking to each other and admitting that Dylan lied to them about being in an open relationship.
Dylan cheated so often and Jackson was such a dumb pushover that people assumed they had a secret open relationship. People don't want to believe that one guy could be so bad to his bf so they say, well they must really be open. Tell that to Grant, Dylan's bf before Jackson. Dylan drove him crazy with all of his cheating.
Plus that would mean that Jackson is the most discrete guy in the world because you haven't heard a hint of him having sex or making out with anyone the whole time he was with Dylan.
