A strange correlation between whale stranding and major earthquakes is slowly coming to peoples attention.
The idea being the building tension causes some form of mass interference with health animals ability to navigate via the Earth's magnetic field.
This could be pseudo scientific bull shit, i hope, but consider this...
170 whales beached themselves prior to the Christmas Eve Quake and Tsunami of 04
On February 21 2011, 120 whales beached themselves off the coast of New Zealand, the Magnitude 6.3 earthquake in Christchurch New Zealand was on the 22nd of Feb, 2011.
On March 6th of 2011, 50 Melon Headed Whales were beached in Kashima, Ibaraki Prefecture approximately 60 miles south west of this weeks 8.9 Earthquake's epicenter off the coast of Japan. March 11th we had the 8.9 quake in Japan.
On August 20 2010, a pod of 73 pilot whales came ashore at Karikari Beach in Kaitaia, New Zealand. Nine were saved by teams attempting to refloat them but the rest died. This preceded the August 29 2010, Mt. Sinabung, a volcano in Sumatra that had been dormant for years erupted unexpectedly. Then, on September 4th 2010 the 7.1 magnitude earthquake hit in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Now a Pygmy Blue whale and a giant Sperm whale have beached themselves on NZ shores, it this a dark omen of another massive earthquake to hit us?
I can't pretend this isn't scary.
Your thoughts?
