in freudian terms an oral fixation can develop into and show it&#39;s self through a want to have something in your mouth. I have an oral fixation and get pleasure from giving her pleasure orally.

It does not mean you are in a state of arrested development. It is a fixation which means you fixate or concentrate one one of the developmental stages. It does not have to show it&#39;s self sexually and can appear in many forms. According to Freud everyone has a fixation on of of the developmental stages.
