Effect of Curve on Length

I've always though that downward curving dicks look bigger than a straight or upward curving dick of the same size. In terms of measurement, people with downward curves definitely get some extra length if they measure along the curve - it's simple mathematics.

Anyway, I wanted to see if my own penis which has a natural upcurve looks bigger curving down - I know it measures bigger by 0.5-1". I tried to do a quick edit in paint (I know it looks like crap). Which do you think looks bigger?

If two cocks are equal size, the downward curving one will ALWAYS look bigger than upward curving one.

Why? Because the longest side of a downward curving cock is the topside... whereas the shortest side of an upward curving cock is the topside (which is actually my beef with the pseudo-standard of measuring ).

Not to mention that when people see something hanging down, they assume it's "not fully hard yet" and that it will be getting harder and pointing more upward/perpendicular to the body. However, that's just not the case with a true downward curve.

The biggest topside length showing cocks are always going to be downward curving. That's part of being able to show that extra inch or so of length.

Very good post and astute observation. By just your simple editing job we can see that the downcurve appears to be much larger (and people's mind's are saying, "Oh, that's not quite hard yet"). :smile:

Exactly what i think as well. Measuring from the top, which has become the standard definietely favors the downward curving penises. As i said, its as much as a whole inch difference for me....that's huge

Yep, what you said about measuring is very true and we are the same... my underside is definitely at least 0.5-1" longer than the topside. :smile:

Same here...6.25 on top, 7 on bottom. Curve makes it tough to get a straight line measurement. Seems to me 6.5 is about right. 5 thick.

Mine isn't long enough to really matter which way it curved, if it did. But, I think that an up curved one looks sexier, if not longer.

Good input. I think to get a true equal measure would be either for everyone to take an average of top and bottom, or report the longest of top or bottom. It doesn't really matter, people should be comfortable with what they have no matter what the number says on the tape, but it's just something I got thinking about since everyone says to measure from the top.

I think what we are all wondering is:

You have two cocks of identical size / volume (physically, mathematically identical).

One curves downwards, one curves to the left.

Does the downwards curved one penetrate deeper than the left curved one?

Or do they penetrate to the same depth? Given that they are idential, lengthwise and in all other aspects except for curvature.

Ok .. curving to the left makes the problem more interesting that what it needs to be. Lets just take up and down for starters.

Take your finger palm facing you bend it inwards, take a piece of string and measure to the 3rd "wrinkle line" now take the string and measure the back side of your finger down to the 3rd wrinkle line. Depending on how much you bend your finger there can be up to an inch difference. lol and this is just your finger (well hopefully your dick is bigger than your index finger)


Ok, so what effect does the extra length have. Another crude experiment...

Make your other hand into a fist slide your bent finger into the fist up to the third "wrinkle line" hmmm it all goes in.. so both measurements are right, but there is a gotcha, sort of.. the side of the curve that yields the shorter measurement is the side that will feel the most pressure (stick bent finger in fist to test). I know a vagina does not react the same way as a fist does but the general idea still holds true.

So in missionary position if you have a banana dick then their will be added pressure to the top wall of the vagina, if you have a N curve dick then you need to be in some sort of reverse position to get the added pressure on the top wall of the vagina. Now of course all positions are fun but the pressure on the top wall will generally give the best sensations.

So sadly its the shorter measurement that yields the most friction whether you are bent up or down really does not matter.

thats so true. and maybe this can be a bit strange for the ladies if they expect "further improvement". my girlfriend, who had only two boyfriends before me (and she sure don't watches porn:smile thought at first it will still grow when i was 100% hard already. she has never seen a downward curve before
