Who would you say is an effeminate guy though?

An effeminate gay celebrity? I don’t know. Can’t think of one off the top of my head. I don’t pay attention or make an effort to keep up with “celebrities” or Hollywood or anything like that. I don’t have any real interest in it. I don’t watch award shows and the like.

There used to be a lot more but so many died. They are not non existent among younger gays but not as many as a generation ago. I would say some of the stars on Rupaul Drag Race could be gay minor celebrities. I think I used to be more effeminant but years of dealing with butch bisexual clients has butched me up. Paul Lynde was the funniest sissy. Charles Nelson Reilly also. Truman Capote could be so funny on talk shows.

I love effeminate guys. Guys like Troye Sivan and Chris Colfer just do it for me.

Yes I'd have said these two. Maybe Troye Sivan more. I think being effeminate has become so merged with drag and 'non-binary' or whatever that it's quite difficult to really see or appreciate gender non-conforming gays.

The late 20th century was hard on gays, but I wonder if it was easier to be a sissy in the gay ghettos back then. I knew several back then and adored them. There were some fierce black queens who died in my circle. One deceased white hairdresser at our gym dyed his hair and pubes blond and was the hit in the showers. He was gorgeous but very femme. I think gays are more intolerant of sissys now, though drag queens are more prominent on tv. Gays can be very intolerant of sissies. So many gays adopt the bearded hyper masculine look now. I say be true to yourself. The gay faeries used to be very prominent and they encouraged the embracing of the yin and yang. I know two dress wearing faeries who've been together for 30 years, one of whom had an article written about him in the local newpaper regarding his out there outfits.

Effeminates are never attractive. I’m homosexual because I am attracted to masculinity. If I wanted a girl, I’d get a real one.
To you lol, there is a problem with saying stuff like that and it is very simple, you're just perpetuating a very traditionally binary concept, while in the real world everything is fluid, it's alright if you don't feel attracted to feminine guys, but saying that kind of stuff in such a dismissive manner sounds very ignorant and plain rude

There are varying reports on the condition of comedian Paul Lynde when he was found at home deceased in
his bed on January 10, 1982. The most likely is he was having a tryst with one of his boy toys
and expired from a heart attack. The boy toy panicked, setting the security alarm before
he fled. Butyl nitrate bottles (poppers) were on a nightstand next to his bed and this chemical was
found in Paul's system according to the autopsy report. This is a sexual stimulant used to relax
the anal sphincter. Paul was in poor health from years of smoking but he checked out with a smile
on his face! He sure kept us laughing for many years and is still missed.
