Next week, I'll do a screed for Fathers' Day, but today I want to talk about elderly gay men, the men who were sexually active when the "Stonewall" meant a Civil War general or a partition between two pieces of property.

Do you know such men? If you do, buy them a drink, buy them dinner, listen to their stories. If you can, spend the night with them. Let them cop a feel. Maybe all they want to do is cuddle. Hold them. If they want to be sexual but are having problems, be patient and lie if you have to!

These men paid a HUGE price for your sexual freedom. Often they lost careers and family for being openly homosexual. Many lost friends andl lovers in the early days of the AIDS epidemic. In short, YOU OWE THEM.

As for me, tonight I will be with my friend Richard, who is in his 80s. He great stories about gay life in the 50s and early 60s. For his age, Richard looks good. I will kiss and caress hims. I will thank him for all the advice he gave me when I was coming out as a bisexual man

Like I said, you owe them

Wait, what does "Stonewall" mean today?

In 1969, there was a riot at the Stonewall Inn Tavern in the west village here in NYC. The Stonewall was a gay bar, and the Police raided the bar one night, arresting all the patrons inside. The patrons fought the police. The bar still exists today. It’s crap, but now no one will close it.

Okay, I'm familiar with the event.
