Hold on, you people are arguing about something that you have all been guilty of for the last four years. For four years you have all pandered to and regurgitated left wing media views that President Trump was not a legitimate President.

Now because the right is using the left's play book you are all crying foul. Bunch of hypocrites. That's pitiful.

Counterpoint: Left wing Americans questioning Trump's legitimacy due to Russian interference in the 2016 election is not equal to Right wing Americans, including actual sitting Congressmen in violation of their oath of office, calling for a seditious coup because Trump lost.

It's not the same thing. This is so batshit crazy that you have folks like Mitt Romney and Mitch McConnell not wanting to touch this foolishness with a ten foot pole. A line is being crossed here in a manner that we haven't seen since the 1860s. They are endangering the country with this garbage.

If Republicans want to declare fraud without evidence, fine by me. The courts don't operate without evidence of a crime, so they can scream to the sun goes down. But the GOP Congressmen who won seats in November should be also calling for their own election victories to be Invalidated....otherwise this is just one huge scam to rile up extremists and pandering to Trump's voter base who is more loyal to Donald Trump than the country itself.

Wow... After four years, now, and you are still tugging that old barge. Pitiful.

Wishful thinking.
Not really. In 2016 when there was voter fraud in North Carolina, Speaker Pelosi refused to seat the declared winner until the allegations were settled. An investigation into the affair proved that the Republican candidate had benefited from fraudulent ballot harvesting, and another election was held. It took two months.
While scrolling through my news feed this morning I saw an article on this very topic. These members are declaring that fraud occurred in their own elections. If I had Pelosi's power, I'd subject them to the same scrutiny that they want to give to Biden's electors. Democrats are too weak in these kind of fights. Even the ones they can't lose.
Trump allies shouldn't be sworn into office until cleared of their own claims of election fraud

This has all been decided in court, multiple times. So arrest these guys and charge them with treason.
As I understand it, what those congresspeople are doing is within the laws and rules and that there are some kind precedents for it. Therefore not treasonous. UNLESS they are shown to be doing it to purposely undermine the US government and maybe doing it to benefit another nation. Then the treason charge would be legit. And for me that's not beyond the realm of the possible. But I haven't seen actual evidence of it by members of congress. (except didn't Ted Cruz's dad kill Kennedy?)

NBC News just released audio of Trump demanding that the Secretary of State of Georgia "find" 11.7k votes to help him overturn Biden's victory in Georgia.

As always, the Republicans and Trump are accusing Democrats of the ill behavior that they themselves are attempting to do.

If you support Donald Trump, you are a traitor.

That's just opinion on your part. Supporting President Trump, does not make one a traitor.

In the final analysis history will show that this last year's election with the exception for the pandemic Trump would've won in a land slide.

Granted the election is all but over. Republican members refusing to certify the electoral votes isn't a treasonous act. There is not enough members to undermine the election. Biden will be sworn into office this month. Even if he's just going to be reinstating Obama era people and laws.

Creepy Uncle Joe is going to do everything in his power to keep his son from being investigated unless a special counsel is started. He's already chosen how many from Obama's administration? Done nothing for the working class for 47 years. What is 4 more years of nothing?

Absurd. Trump's approval rating hovered around 45% at best his entire presidency. It was always going to be a close election.

Wrong the economy what he did to China all played in his favor. I'll take someone like Trump any day over a career politician. Trump, didn't like him before he got into politics still don't. He's the first President in my lifetime not to accept pay for the job. Not a career politician. Hatred by the left and the right for loving his country.

So you have nothing to say about what he was caught doing on the phone by asking the Sec. State of Georgia to commit election fraud?

Also, Trump's mishandling of the pandemic is what ultimately led to his undoing. Him neglecting to do his job is proof that he doesn't love this country at all. Him undermining our election process is proof that he's anytime but a patriot.

Trump's not gonna stop after Wednesday, right?

They’ll make up a new imaginary way to steal the election and we'll all give it a ton of attention and talk about how shocked we are by such a corrupt display of authoritarianism. This will go on until Biden is sworn in, at which point Trump will call for his impeachment.

Then Louie Gohmert will introduce articles in the House, most of the GOP caucus and the 2024 hopefuls will sign on, Trump will announce his own campaign, and we’re off to the races!

The shit is hitting the fan:

Pennsylvania G.O.P. refuses to seat Democratic lawmaker in State Legislature.
Live Updates: Ignoring the Constitution, Trump Increases Pressure on Pence to Reject Electors

The effort by congressional Republicans to deny the presidential results found an echo in the Pennsylvania Legislature on Tuesday, when Republicans voted not to seat a Democratic lawmaker who was elected in November and to remove the lieutenant governor, also a Democrat, as the presiding officer of the State Senate.

On a typically ceremonial day of swearing in members, Pennsylvania’s Senate majority refused to seat Senator Jim Brewster, whose narrow victory was officially certified but is being challenged in court.

In a contentious, chaotic session, Republicans also voted to remove Lt. Gov. John Fetterman as the Senate president and to replace him with the top Republican in the chamber.

The lieutenant governor refused at first to leave the rostrum, and for several minutes both he and the Republican voted into his place tried to recognize motions from the floor. Eventually, Mr. Fetterman stepped away.
