Erm well Irish politics has been dominated by one of two Republican/Nationalist right of centre parties both of which are branches of the Old Sinn Fein which fought the war of independence during the 1920's.
I would have written more, some outline of the state of public services, private versus public, taxation, Unions, Immigration and such but I was afraid of boring people. Thanks for reading it. :redface:

Perhaps I ought to make one correction, the fascist movement which joined the Fine Gael party weren't the Brown Shirts, they were the Blue Shirts. Oops.
