Empty Profiles the Norm

Hey there,

What are the reasons that so many members, even members that post with regularity and publically, do not have their profiles filled out on here.

I am just asking here, understand closeted, married, et al reasons but is that the sum total?

I like to just read em to find out a little more about someone etc. Wish that more people would fill some of it out. A lot can be said and still remain anonymous on the net.

Sound off and give your reasons for not doing it or for doing it. I filled mine out because I really have little to hide and enjoy chatting with like minded/interested guys. Cant do that if I hide what those interests are or a messenger account.

Totally agree, MuscleJock. So frustrating to find NOTHING in a profile. What is compromising about giving at least your location (state/country), approximate age, a few personal interests, and indication of str8/bi leaning? Some of that stuff we could figure out by pulling up the member&#39;s posts, anyway. Too much work.... ignore&#33; Why not supply at least a minimum, up front? LPSG is a great community. I find friendly, interesting people here -- this isn&#39;t Troll City.

Fill in two categories in your profile for each negative reason submitted?

Agree as well, some basic information & personal details would be nice and could
clarify some posted matters or questions.

I continually edit my profile. I started out answering most of the questions and then I was frustrated because others didnt so i started removing some of my answers.

I suppose i should add things back in. I dont like to give too much though because i dont want people that know me to figure out who i am.

HI Guys,

I think that even though you all may be relatively sane human beings, every board or group has its exceptions. So some individuals feel a bit better if they are a bit more in control of their own personal information. That is why I dont post too much info. I have had some bad experiences with some rather unpleasant results.

Erm, sometimes it&#39;s nice to know "who" you&#39;re talking to sometimes. It isn&#39;t that explicit anyway.
