About this time of year every year I get the end of the summer blues.

It's a time I wish looked forward to since the autumn season is so beautiful here. Yet I still think invariably of the fall as a precursor to winter (my least favorite season).

I think it must have something to do with grade school and the impending classroom setting. But it's ingrained and with all the "back to school" ads on the television I feel like we barely had a summer.

Does anyone else get hit by seasonal mood change?

I have the opposite..........after working 7 days a week for the past three months at my B&B I am looking forward to September and a chance to exhale!

I'm not surprized Iindustrialsize. Provincetown in September is heaven. You must ache for the quieter months of Sept. and Oct. Wasn't carnival fun? It's just too many people...

My favorite B&B (absorbed several years ago byThe Brass Key) was Roomers on Carver.

I knew the owner and his "houseboy" very well. We're still in touch.

That place was one of a kind.

I agree favorite time of year. The weather makes for more and better sex, everyone feels the heat, less cothes, I run and skinny dip daily on a north shore beach, will really miss it when iot becomes too cold

yep, every summer, i look back teary eyed and go "these are the best days of my life, this is probably my last summer:'(" then next summer i have a fun summer. i think the looming classroom setting has alot to do with it. its the same as sunday blues i used to get.

    Summer's almost gone
    Summer's almost gone
    Almost gone
    Yeah, it's almost gone
    Where will we be
    When the summer's gone?

    Morning found us calmly unaware
Noon burn gold into our hair
At night, we swim the laughin' sea
    When summer's gone
    Where will we be
    Where will we be
    Where will we be

    Morning found us calmly unaware
Noon burn gold into our hair
At night, we swim the laughin' sea
    When summer's gone
    Where will we be

    Summer's almost gone
    Summer's almost gone
    We had some good times
    But they're gone
    The winter's comin' on
    Summer's almost gone

Every year, my friends the Swallows begin to get itchy feet.

We should take a leaf from their book, Stronzo.
