Yes, a funny post for a funny story... But in the end, why file the suit? The DNC is suing a foreign power. It reads as if they are suing the Illuminati? How does that work?

But the question still beckons, "Would this suit be filed if Hillary won?"

Foreign powers have been sued before and the plaintiff's have prevailed - and eventually collected in some cases. There are a number of reasons for the suit. First it keeps the issue focused on the real damage done to the election, the candidates, etc. Second, if Mr. Mueller is fired or the investigation torpedoed in any other way, it makes it possible to still put information in the public eye - information that Congress would likely have to deal with. Trump himself often hides behind the threat of lawsuit to silence his critics and hide the truth. The lawsuit is just one part of fighting back. In a complex case like this, it is impossible to predict what will work, and what will not.

Would the suit have been filed if Hillary won? Possibly, it is impossible to say for sure - certainly the issues are real and merit investigation - unlike most of the allegations against her, which went nowhere.

The US is regarded as a civil oligarchy and or flawed democracy. It is not a model of democracy or human rights.

There are heaps of resources regarding US democracy for those who want to know more. Sadly it is inconvenient for many to accept there is a problem.
