Amen, I really like a lot of the amateur stuff and specifically go there for it. Some of 'em are obviously shit but there are some good ones. I don't like "real" porn anyway. The people are usually ugly or unrealistically hot and you can tell some of them are doing it for the money with the bland, generic "oh yeah"s and "fuck me harder...please...no...seriously...i'm really enjoying this....it is sooo good...oh yeah."

I recently signed up again for XTube but I've cancelled again. It still sucks with slow upload times, pop up ads, too many trannies, also too many men are not what they appear to be. I was getting along with several but a few of them blocked me with no explination or reason. A lot of men I met are uptight on XTube and not at all the laid back characters they pretend to be. Also now when you sign up for XTube they charge you to contact other members (no more free email). With slow loading pages, slow uploading, broken links, pop ups it's not worth paying a lot of money when there are free sites out there. Also XTube assumes that all of us are "Bisexual" when I'm 100% GAY thank you. Even if you click on Men Seeking Men on the entrance page they still push bisexual content on you. Or if you are straight and enter as Man seeking Women they still have this agenda of pushing bisexual contant. Besides that Ive met more men who lie about their stats on XTube than any other site (I expect people to fib on all sites but XTube members take the cake). I met one man claiming to be taller and he turned out to be only 5'5" by the name of Midtown Something or Middletown Something. Too many men lying about their stats. But anyway XTube sucks because of the annoying pop ups, extremely slow loading pages, broken links, upload times that can take hours (even with a high speed connection and fast computer). Now we have to pay for sending private messages within XTube. NOT worth it! XTube SUCKS!

XTube now charges if you want to send a private email to another member. I don't like Xtube because they seem to push the bisexual content (for example if you enter as straight they push both gay and straight on you, or if you are gay like me they push women on you regardless of clicking Male Seeking Men when entering). Also it takes forever to uplaod videos even with a fast computer and high speed connection, then when you try to use your browsers back arrow the page has expired so you need to type in your search all over again. Also found too many broken links, and worst of all there are too many Trannies on that site. There are pleanty of other better sites out there.

I agree "Real" porn sucks. 8 times out of 10 the people in them are ugly and the hot ones look too handsom to the point that it's actually creapy. Then you see these bisexual or straight guys who are being paid $$$ to perform so their dicks are simi-flacid during the whole video, and you get that annoying fake sounding "Oh Ah, Yes, Do me" dialog. Then of course if you buy the DVD you get 1/2 hour of promo videos you can't skip over at the beginning of the DVD.

I don't go to the site much because of the money-grabbing aspects of it.Click on someones mediocre thumbnail pic and they want you to pay to see it full-size.
Having said that,I didn't have to pay anything to send a PM to someone (banned from here) a couple of weeks ago.If they're trying to charge for it now they don't deserve any custom.

Still have all of my videos on there and I have not encountered anything in terms of charging to send a message to other members... although I agree with the gripes the previous posters have voiced about the pay-per-view "Amateur" clips taking over and basically all basic features being relegated to the VIP level, which is ridiculously expensive and most likely not worth it. It used to be a really great site for true amateur porn... not really sure what I will do about taking down my clips, since I have so many guys subscribing to my content... we'll see
