Endocrinologist (nyc)

I go to one for hyperactive thyroid occasionally. My experience has been a short consultation to make sure im feeling ok, blood work, and then prescriptions sent to pharmacy. Waiting around is normally the worst part. Depends on your case and severity though.

I have also treated for hyper and hypo active thyroid. Yes mine was all over the place. After a year and a half of medication everything settled down. No longer on any medication (3 years now) because I figured out what issue was which cause the erratic behavior, STRESS! Keep stress in check becuse your body will react and try to correct it by itself. I no longer stress about many things and my thyroid thanks me! :)

Guess it depends on why you are wanting to see an endocrinologist? I see mine twice a year. And have for the past three years

Hypothyroid and A. I.
The wait is usually fairly long.
Blood work then the needed prescriptions are called into the pharmacy.
A call to days afterwards to give me my blood work results.

Please excuse my ignorance. What is A.I.? (I'm assuming not artificial intelligence in this case). :)
