For those who think it should have been obvious it was a joke, that would kinda defeat the whole purpose, now wouldn't it? What about April Fools' Day do you not understand?
For those who have complained it was not funny, it has already been pointed out that not everybody finds humor in the same things. Some people are apparently quite deficient in that regard.
The joke of April Fools' Day is to be punked. If you were fooled and nobody was hurt, it was a successful prank. If you can't stand being fooled, on April Fools' Day of all days, you really need to lighten up. Jheezus Kheeryst! It's not like anybody died, or even anybody said anybody died. And he was hardly 'banned' long enough to get worked up about.
Side note: some of those self-same complainers that the joke wasn't funny have in their postings made jokes of their own, which to me at least were entirely unfunny.
Tempest in a teaspoon, I'd say, and an all round cunning stunt!
I'm surprised nobody's said that yet.

Me too. We need some sort of gesture of conciliation to the membership from the Mods. Reinstatement of Mitchymo seems to be the obvious. It would make a lot of members happy. I cannot see it would upset anyone.

Meanwhile I am a bit confused because over on his FAKE thread, CS acted all offended that I thought he was joking. Then I apologized for thinking it was a joke because other posts seemed to indicate that it was--- and now over here he says and also some others too, that it indeed was a joke!
I see why in real life I often am deceived by fibbers, even in romance.
