(Please move this if it's on the wrong board.) I love nerdy guys. They are super sexy. A friend of mine with a four inch penis and a grain of salt where his confidence should be made a joke and sent me the following equation.

P= size of penis (in centemeters)
S= amount of sex
B= muscular and sexy body

equation is as follows

P x (S x 10) + B = confidence level

I laughed. I disagree. What do you think?

Edit: He says he didn't mean it as a joke. My bad.

I disagree with this equation. I'd modify it as follows.
(10PS + B) / 50N = Confidence

where N = negative self talk

I, for one, find this to be a delightful thought. Your friend is very clever.
I have to agree with it. It is concrete math.:rolleyes:

Bend over Einstein.... we have a new theory:biggrin1:

I'm curious as to what scale B would be on...

This is a fun equation though (*says the geeky engineer)

I score a whole 18 without putting anything in for B... Oh, and S = 0 :rolleyes:

What units are we measuring S and B in? B is definitely subjective, and S could be a little subjective, given that a little for some is a lot for others.

In other news, I think that confidence comes from a variety of sources and may be high in one area, low in another. A high result in the above equation might lead to confidence with potential sex partners, but wouldn't help you pass the CFA-2. Of course, with a high enough score you probably wouldn't care if you passed the CFA-2. :biggrin1:

If S is zero, and you didn't put anything in for B, your score can't be 18.

Remind me not to drive across any bridges you design :wink:

My friend would add the following:

S = M/L where M=Average Month and L=Estimated Lifetime Total
body on a scale of 1 to 10, ten being highest like Arnold in his youth and one being fat man at a state fair

P is relative to centimeters not inches :wink: (1 inch = 2.54 cm...and yes, I'm lazy and rounded up)

Hmm I might throw in a random 7 for my B, yay for a 25 now.

Thanks for the clarification Bronx :smile:

centimeters or inches, anything multiplied by zero is zero.

Sorry... banking geek here.

I like this equation much better. Can we get a value for N?

My friend has a new modification. Where S=0, (S+10) is dropped from the equation. he believes Altairion understood his intent. S is not meant to render P worthless.

You want me to provide an equation for N?

hmm.
2
N = π(4G + 5X + 3F + B + 8L)

where G = # of times you say you're not good enough
X = # of times you say you're not sexy enough
F = # of times you say you're not funny enough
B = # times you say you're not smart enough
L = # of times you say you're not good looking enough

Tsk, tsk. :confused: With fuzzy math like this out there, I'm concerned anew for the millions of Chinese who will drown when the 3 Gorges Dam bursts. :biggrin1:

tallguypns, I've spent a lot of time throwing Ns into my equation, so I know where you're coming from.

Yikes.

Your friend has modeled D(S) (self-doubt), not C (confidence).

A model for C should include these variables:
• H: sense of humor
• W: willingness to try new things
• F: fear of being judged
C = W/F + H

He sounds like he has his head screwed on to me. Confidence can be fleeting and fickle, but self doubt will always be there waiting for you, like an old friend...

This is so fabulous I'm crying. (I have PMS) I think this will really help my friend out, especially since I have made him commit to 30 days of correcting the inner voice that talks shit about him. Thanks.

My friend's no engineer. He's just a nerdy guy with a small penis, no positive experience romantically with women, and no confidence that this will change.

Only one that is constantly bombarded by negative self talk could come up with this equation. :tongue: I feel his pain.
