That outcry(yours and the articles) sounds for me more like the sad try to defend cruising. Stop defending cruising. Parks are usually public property. If they are closed, you go there anyway, that is trespassing. Trespassing is illegal too. Public sex is almost allways illegal and as far as I know, that is part of the thrill. And doing something illegal in public, you usually acknowledge the risks, that can go from beeing caught by playing children, to beeing caught and arrested by the Police or beeing caught by idiots that take law in their own hands and shoot you, if you are lucky, just with a paintball gun.
And to clear things up, if Erasmo really went down to this park and started shooting cruising men, I wouldn`t defend it. I would call the police and have him arrested. That is what I meant, by calling it extreme. I added the "a bit" because he said "with a paintball gun". Normally paintballs do no serious harm if you do not aim for the head or the genitals.
But that wasn`t the piont I wanted to make. My Point was, that he isn`t necessarily homophobic, for wanting the cruising to stop at the park he usually does his sport in. The artikel says, that the city does nothing against it, which would piss me off too, if my local park had cruising men in it, leaving their used shitty condoms, popper bottles, dirty tissue and who knows what else lying around. Not enough to want to shoot somebody, but yeah it would piss me off, and I am gay... so no it is not homophobic. We should all be more careful about the labels we put on people too quickly. We are way to often wrong and we never know if the Person we are talking about, isn`t a member here and how it effects the mental health of that person.
