Everytime my partner and myself are about to have sex I have problems staying hard. It's not that I'm not attracted to him or not turn on but I just cannot stay hard. I mean I'm 23yrs old, healthy, and a bit stocky. Is there anything I can take besides viagra to keep a hardon?

A cockring seems worth trying if used properly, but can be misused, so educate yourself, it should not hurt, and should be easy to remove. Check other threads.

It could simply be related to some performance anxiety, fear or nervousness, which can be a self defeating thing if you then worry about it each time and it kills the moment. A patient partner can do wonders for you by hanging in with you and being supportive. It's a common occurance for some people.

Strongly suggest you consider seeing your doctor for a physical and ask about the problem. Not to worry you, but diabetes is often an undetected illness associated with being overweight, and can have an impact on erections. Get a professional opinion.

This is all EXCELLENT advice, UncutArtist.
Don't be afraid to see a doctor. There's NOTHING they haven't heard or seen before. And think how relieved you'll be when you get past this situation! I hope that you will report back and give us an update. Good luck.:)

UncutArtist - do you have problems with your erection when you masturbate?

Yes I do, I rarely masterbate because I don't really enjoy it and also when I do end up masterbating I'm not even hard.

I definitely agree that you should talk to a doctor about this stuff. There could be physical/medical causes for your experience. Don't think about what you should "take" before you get a diagnosis. Good luck!

It could be that you are too jittery. So try to do it slowly, not to quickly and be sure you are comfortable. If this doens't work, go to the dokter, he doen't think this is weird and he can certainly help to solve this problem.
When guys have erection problems due to "jitters" or performance anxiety, usually they don't have the same problem during masturbation. But UncutArtist does ... so see your Dokter! ;)
