Hello Guys,
I never did military service, but I understand that young men far away from their girlfriends must walk around with the urge to relieve themselves a lot of the time. What are your experiences from all male environmenst e.g. army, navy etc. of morning erections, embarrassing hardons, guys masturbating in bunkbeds or catching/overhearing somebody masturbating. Were there any circle-jerks or masturbating together watching porn?

It was over 20 years ago that I did mine, but what I do remember is seeing so many different sizes and shapes of the morning woodie. Most were only semis, but you would occasionally see a full on, and at the time I was amazed with the huge variation : angle, curves, and of course size.

Well, as a military member since 1976, I can tell you that you do indeed see all shapes, sizes and forms of semi-hard to full blown hardon's. I've lived in barracks, dorms, and shared rooms with guys of all ages, nationalities and races.

I've made some great friends over the years. And when a guy wakes up with a hard on, you either accept it or laugh about it. Myself, and many roommates, find the time alone to take care of things.

When I went away on "trips", and had a chance to get away from the troops, I usually found a nice woman or teamed up with a couple, to releive the tension.

Was in the navy for six years, mostly with Marines. At first, you are embarassed by the whole situation, and you try to give each other privacy. By the end of the first few months, you are so close with these guys that nothing is sacred. Guys would walk around with boners all of the time. This simply was not a big deal. There were even openly gay marines and sailors, but no one made an issue of it. Most people just didn't give a shit.

Circle jerks, not gonna happen outside of a gay porn. Yes, I hooked up with guys a few times, but these were really close friends that "tried something new" when we were plastered. We never really talked about those times and they are all straight and happily married now.

Yes, we often heard eachother jerking off, but again, this was not a big deal after a while. We ere a group of men isolated with no women- of course we jerked off all of the time and we teased eachother about it a lot. ripping open shower cutains, shining flashlights in eachother's bunks, busting a mate a 2 i the morning on the toilet. we took iot all ion stride and lived with it.

Other than what I mentioned, not a whole lot of "gay" activity to report.

Sometimes you just have to be very subtle about it. If you rub it, don't move around too much, or the other guy in the other bunk, will become aware, and may or may not ignore it, as he probably has the same problem.

I heard too many stories of guys in the military cheating on their wives, so I would possibly advise people when they get married, don't re-elist. It's a bit hard to do both marriage and military, at the same time. At least the military has the good sense, I think still, to provide better benefits for married people, than for single guys. One guy told me he was paying child support for a child he wasn't even sure was his.

People live too close to one another, in the military, for there to be any "gay" stuff going on. It's really quite disruptive and distracting from the mission.

The original question reminds me of the time some stranger on Yahoo IM messaged me and wanted to ask me questions about boot camp. He started wondering what it was like to shower together, did we ever find time to relieve ourselves, etc.

I was thinking the same thing. My boyfriend's input on the subject leaves me with the impression that it's not so much that a couple of his shipmates being gay distracts from the missions, but more that it does make it harder for some people to form tight bonds with those people, and so the group is less cohesive than it would be. But he also makes it clear that the two gays on his ship do the same thing everyone else does: they take care of their sexual needs in private. He says the one rule for masturbation seems to be no jizzing in the shower. That rule doesn't make much sense to me, but whatever. He's in the Coast Guard.

Maybe because its an open shower? or maybe cause no one likes having a shower when the person befor you left cob webbs everywhere.
