Something to do with the songwriter i think, he has wrote songs for beyonce and some other well known artists and they have a little expert team that has worked on their entry.

Pffft. If I was betting purely for money, I'd probably go Germany - it's a good song! I like the underdog though lol, so C'MON ICELAND!

Gonna watch tonights second Semi?

What sort of question is that lol, of course i am, looking forward to it. I'm really really looking forward to Saturday tho, i love the voting part just as much as the songs although its not quite as exciting when our own entry is pretty shit in comparison to most of the others. He'll get points probably but i'd be amazed if he came in the top 10. (having said that i was surprised Jade came 4th last year, did'nt think that much to andrew Lloyd Webbers creation)

Seriously, they should let a few of us take charge. Woman, big euro dance song, nice key change at the end, lots of dramatic lighting, no politics = win! Thats what I love anyway LOL.

I thought Jade was very average, it only got as high as it did because Weber went around Eastern Europe begging in person, and people love him.

My fave of recent times was Helena Paparizou - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjIkYlPEaYA Seriously... SO AWESOME!

Haha I don't remember that one either! It's pretty.

Helena won in 2005 for Greece with 'My Number One', and performed Mambo in 2006 in Athens.

Ani Lorak - Shady Lady (Ukraine) was my fave in 2008 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8FbpoSLk2E - Loved Kalomoira - Secret Combination too (Greece - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSF12QndMrg)

Last year it was a toss up between Ukraine again (Svetlana Loboda - Be My Valentine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA-HL-EfUbI) and Turkey (Hadise - Dum Tek Tek http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8gr5GS2Sno) Ended up voting for Hadise like 10 times... that was an expensive phone bill LOL!

Haha such a Euro whore =)

If Serbia wins i'm gonna kill myself!!!

If Serbia does not win i'm gonne kill myself!

Hello. Glad I found this thread, because I'm such a great fan of Eurovision.

I hope Milan from Serbia wins the final on Saturday. I'm a sucker for traditional Balkan music and also - I love Milan's hair!
In the 2. semifinals last night i voted for Israel. Great song and what a hunk Harel is.
In the finals however I'm gonna vote for Island. We northeners have to stick together, and now that our dear neighbours from Sweden are out, our fingers are crossed for Hera from Island.
