Oh, wow, that is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO me as well! As a life long Star Wars fan, I've had that fantasy since I was like 3, lol.

I've even talked about that with my wife and she said she'd be willing, lol. For relatively "cool", good looking people (I'm not -trying- to be shallow...), we can be total nerds at times, lol.

She even said if we ever went to one of those comic or Star Wars conventions, we've had friends who have gone and dressed up, she'd totally wear one, which seems like nothing to her I guess for a girl who models bikinis, until she realizes she'd probably spend all day getting stared at and stopped by people asking to take pictures with her, but I suppose that could be part of the fun, lol.

The problem is, although they make a cheap, crappy mass produced version of that costume, the real good ones can be very expensive, like $400, though I've still always toyed with buying one for her anyway.

There is actually a site devoted to the outfit, that even sells the movie accurate ones: Leia's Metal Bikini

So... yeah... I'm really into that fantasy, lol!

I brought up the Princess Leia idea because I wondered what would be TheBF's equivalent to my Indiana Jones fantasy. I think my first guess hit the mark!

I've actually been to a few sci-fi conventions and they're a lot of fun. When I took TheBF to his first one, he said it made him feel like a supermodel. :biggrin1:

Sci-fi geeks are incredibly hard party-ers! They're a lot of fun. I recommend going to one. A friend of mine had her first book signing at one, and lots more since then. I'm so jealous because as a "guest" she has access to mingle with the famous people. I've felt like I would die from jealousy over and over again. I really wanted to go to Comic-con this year. I've never been.

I have gotten dressed up, and that will still get you photographed a lot, if you're a woman, even if you aren't dressed like a superhero or a character.

I looked at that site link and laughed. I did the exact same thing looking for an Indiana Jones costume. They're also outrageously expenisve. :lmao:

when i was in college, I convinced two other guys to join me as cheerleaders. I really wanted to see one of them in tights or panties, and it WORKED lol

That's hilarious!

This used to be so strange to think about. Many years ago a girlfriend confided in me about her husband's demand for her to dress in the kinkiest costumes. That seemed to be the only way he could have sex. My hubby and I thought it was the weirdest thing, and we thanked our lucky stars we didn't need "that."

Well, I think it was the next Halloween we went to a costume party, and I was dressed as Laura Croft. I had the whole wig with a giant pigtail and the guns. The after party at home was absolutely wild! Cap asked me to leave the wig on, and he really got into a fantasy.

That was it for the dress-up for a while. When I work outside in the garden I always wear the same old one piece sunsuit. Over the years it's got tighter and tighter, and I guess it triggered something in him one day, and wow! Now, when I wear it he takes it as a sign that it's time to go for it!

He's never really worn anything that does it for me besides nothing.

Where I used to live my friends had a lot of theme parties, and guests were often requested to wear costumes to suit the theme. It was a lot of fun, getting dressed up in a sexy costume and flirting and making each other laugh. I enjoyed it. We always had great sex that night.

It sounds like Laura Croft is a popular one with men!

We actually went to this local Comic Convention, just to sort of see what it was about and see the folks in costumes, but it just didn't compare to what the bigger ones look like, and the space they held it in was way too cramped with not much going on.

Our friends swear they are going to drag us to Dragon Con eventually though, lol, and the two of them, one especially, has pictures of him up -everywhere- from the costume he had on this last year, so its established we'd have to dress up if we go! :)

For those who are into vampires, there's a company that does some really good Buffy vamp faces. Not sure what the site is called - will ask my brother later.

Petite, you should totally do one of the furry costumes for TheBF! It would make his year! I have no advice about how to get him into the costume you want though, sorry. But I am SO curious about what the costume is :biggrin1:.

You should go! It's one of the ones I've been to. My friend is invited every year to be a guest, including a really fun panel on zombies once that Enid would have really enjoyed. Now THAT woman is a huge zombie fan. She even included her own version in a new series of her books (hence her participation on the panel).

Even if you aren't into sci-fi stuff, they still have panels that would interest you. I went to one that had real FBI and forensics experts on it because the panel was about forensic science on TV and in the movies. They have a wide range of topics that are discussed.

Of course, watching a hung over (and probably still drunk) Michael Rosenbaum banter with James Marsters is unforgettable. The man is hilarious and they were hilarious together.

Ah, the costume. I don't know if I should say what either of them are! The one he's agreed to wear is offensive to some people and I don't want to stir up a fight or offend anyone in a thread that has been so much fun so far, because it's a sort of taboo fantasy for me, and the other one is cheesy/embarrassing/totally-predictable. Let's just say that one of the reasons why TheBF refuses to wear this costume is that he's so tired of my screensaver by now that it makes him deep sigh whenever he sees it, and now he's refusing to indulge me by wearing this costume.

If you can guess what it is, I'll confirm it.

I think I should wait until I'm no longer pregnant to do the kitten costume. Maybe surprise him one day when he isn't expecting it. That would be even more fun. :biggrin1:

Do feel free to PM me because now I'm even more curious and I'd NEVER guess what it is!

Yeah, a pregnant kitten might not work as well. I wish I could see the look on his face the day you surprise him. You'll just have to desscribe the moment really well for us :biggrin1:

Is it Indiana Jones? Do I get a cookie?? :biggrin1:

I would have enjoyed that, yea. One year a friend who gets invited to NYCC as a guest invited me to go with her but I ended up declining (partially due to my dislike of crowds). I still kinda regret that a bit to this day.

I wouldn't mind getting my lover to dress up like MIT professor Donald Sadoway and then lecture me about crystallography. He totally gets me panties wet.

All the time.
As a matter of fact, we used to wait until the After Halloween Blowout Sales at Party City and the like and "stock up".

Costumes play into one of my fetishes :biggrin2:...
