Yes, and before the term stalker was popular. I was 18 and involved in activities that gave me lots of public attention. Homecoming court, some public speaking, also a drum major in band. I never thought of myself as anything other than busy. The cards, gifts, recorded conversations etc was awful. My parents could not get the school to take it seriously. The girl ultimately tried to kill herself...and I was relieved it flushed her out of the woodwork and was not me or anyone I loved. I had to keep the letters for years in case it started again I would have proof. It took a long time to not look over my shoulder. Don't know what happened to her and hope she never did this to anyone else. Don't even know if she is still alive.
