Back when nylon zippers were put in mens dress pants, I'd have the zipper pop open. It would happen in public, nobody would say a word, and I'd just about croak when I found out. Good thing I wore tight briefs back then.

It happened to a friend of mine at college. A 'big' guy. And quite a sight to see.
What kind of cheapo jeans was he wearing? See this is why I still lament the fact Levi's are no longer being made in this country. Off shore manufacturers don't always produce a quality product.

no my zipper never broke from my breeders varying sizes that i go thru during the course of a day..
HOWEVER....i had some pants in high school where the zipper would not stay zipped...the bulge factor...and my mom suggested i use a safety pin to lock the zipper to those pants...she took em to the tailor..tried two different zippers...the tailor said...its the cut of the pants that is pulling from the upper thigh...and my ass...all competing for space in the pants...and when he measured me...he said...no matter what kind of zipper is put in...the problem is always going to be there...over that summer i grew...and i went to another pant size...the problem and the safety pin went away...and when my younger brothers tried the pants on..they had the same problem...so..they, the pants, not my borthers went to salvation army
