1954. My aunt and uncle took me and some cousins into town (Hemphill, Texas) to the movie theater to see an oater. The theater was one of those old, old wooden buildings that still showed silent films, so a western 'talkie' was a big deal. The place was packed: at least 50 people, each paying 10 cents to get in.

Turns out my aunt and uncle had a surprise for us: the star made a live appearance onstage that night with his sidekick. Everybody had brought his Brownie with him so we all got personal shots with our favorite cowboy.

I've still got a piece of paper with two coveted autographs and a cracked, yellowing b&w photograph of me standing between Lash LaRue and Fuzzy St. John.

    I was 7 years old.

jed001: In the 60's. I meant Steve Allen, this was during the Hippies generation. When he had his TV show. Gave me a ride in his car.

I've met a few. Billy Idol, Steven Bauer (real name Rocky Echeverría), Gloria Estefan, Eartha Kitt, Brigitte Bardot (quelle vache!), Emeril Lagasse, Elvis Stojko and Philippe Candeloro. From the adult film industry, I've met Ron Jeremy, Gunner and Jon King (retired). Also quite a few opera stars, including Leontyne Price, Patrice Munsel, Plácido Domingo, Bryn Terfel and Rodney Gilfrey.

I actually discussed a friend's heavy involvement with Ecstasy with Dr. Drew Pinski, the board-certified specialist guy of former (and current on radio) "Loveline" fame. Of course, Adam Carolla was with him, so I got a bit of his wise-cracking. Genuinely awesome guys. I still have the journal in which I pasted their autograph, and the school newspaper snapped a photo.

If I get it scanned sometime, I'll upload it.

If you can listen to Ms. Price in Porgy and Bess without getting goosebumps, you have no soul.

Simon9: Lots of minor celebs that most of you have probably never heard of: Henry Morgan, Soupy Sales (real nice guy), Estelle Parsons, Richard Kiley, Dominic Chianese (he's on the Sopranos), and a few you might: Jack Dempsey, Pres. Kennedy (you must have heard of that one), Henny Youngman, Susan Sarandon and Grandpa Al Lewis (one scary old man).

    A mixed list.

I hate to say it, but I think that HS' celeb pics look like photoshop jobs.

sorry to pop your bubble of quick clames to cry fake the only thing photoshop did to these photos was to crop them

If you need to "Test" them.. Do it.

You can tell a photoshopped photo and a non photoshopped photo by simply opening it up in photoshop and holding down the CTRL and I at the same time.

Two photos manipulated when inverted dont match up hues.

you can also see blending marks from a smooth tool as well as missed erasser marks this way.

Sorry to let you down but he photos are real

I've got no bubble to pop. I don't get off on calling people out. I don't find anything unbelievable about being photographed with that selection of celebrities, but a few of the pictures do appear, to my untrained eye, to have cropping artifacts.

The Ron Jeremy and Stanley Tucci pics look real enough, and maybe the Billy Bob Thornton one too. But the Ben Affleck pic looks funny -- look at the border between your tshirt and his jacket, for example, and the way his jacket is completly blacked out. The Angelina Jolie one looks suspicious, too, if only for the complete lack of foreground detail despite being a flash photo, her clothing would not appear blacked out like that. The OJ Simpson one looks like a quick crop job.

Sorry, I get no pleasure from this, and would be delighted to be proven wrong, but the details I have pointed out make some of those pics look fishy to me.

Javierdude22: Well, the Ben Affleck one does look funny...but that could also just be Affleck.

And thanx for ruining my Angelina Jolie high...she looks like shes on heroin.

Cant say Ive met any famous people actually. Meeting as in 'Hi my name is Bubba Humpalot' ? Nope...dang, I need to get out more...

I've come across some. To start off with, I actually met Richard Bey.

Then later on, got an autograph from wrestler Sean Michaels, and then later, I got one from the Big Show, and then to top it off, none other than Hulk Hogan himself.
