No, London, you're not a perv, your just a good looking normal guy.
At my gym, however ( southern, Fla), I sense a timidness about it all.
No one gives any eye contact (God for bid) in the small, two-shower
locker room. But I DO notice many guys, mostly the younger ones,
look at you when you turn your back and begin to walk away. (I've
caught this in the mirror or from the corner of my eye).
I've come to the conclusion that most guys are genuinely interested
for various reasons (mostly comparison) in the bodies/cocks of other guys- especially those who, like them, work out.
The tension in the shower room at my gym is palpable.
Most guys, unless they're older and inevitably out of shape ,
do not undress by their lockers. The reason, I believe, is obvious.
Everyone is afraid of "appearing gay" if they're caught glancing over at
another dude, and afraid of wanting to be looked at if they do undress
thereby again appearing "gay".
Ridiculous.
I don't believe all gyms are like this so it would seem that alot of
us still have the "pack" mentality and we all follow the herd. Especially
when dealing with a bunch of strangers.
I believe all this victorianism is ultimately unhealthy and keeps guys
separated out of unnecessary fear. Great friendships, and great
bonding could develop if the opposite were the case.
