Evil Dead... The Musical?

Okay, I've been a huge Evil Dead/Bruce Campbell fan since I was like 3...

Anway! I as surfing around becuase a while go I heard they were doing an Evil Dead Remake(which isnt true) so I wanted to see if anything else was happening Perhaps Evil Dead IV(No, theres not going to be one...

But there is going to be Evil Dead: The Musical

Idk how good it will be, t's still fairly new, but I do plan on seeing it...

I know it won't have Bruce Campbell, and I think that may break it...

What do you guys think?

I think that it would be interesting, but I don't think there will be a following. Everyone was so excited about LOTR the muscial, and I don't think it did all that well...

Let them try, people will enjoy it. I will just wait for the film version of the musical's version of the film.

I am just thinking about the mess... the stage is going ot have to be lined with a removable plastic covering... (stage condom) so the "blood and guts" dont' get everywhere.

And maybe a splatter guard for the audience...?

It might seem like an odd subject for a musical, but who would've thought that the cheesy 1960 movie "Little Shop of Horrors" would've worked in musical re-interpretation? In fact, it worked very well.

A world that can deal with "Jerry Springer: The Opera" should have little difficulty accepting "Evil Dead: The Musical".

I'm guessing Bruce C. can't sing, though, because otherwise he usually seems happy enough to turn up at the opening of an envelope, let alone getting an opportunity to do something like this.

He's sang before! He's a decent one too. Besides I dont canre if the world can accept it, I just wanna know if its gonna make me regret liking Sam Raimi.

as far as i know its not a joke and its green lighted to go for real and i cant wait. I go to school with a big media and performing art department and so far its been a buzz around campus with them as well as film majors.

Jerry Springer: The Opera is, without doubt, one of the most brilliant nights in the theatre I've ever spent. ED:TM, I suspect, will be lighter fare.

As a diehard Evil Dead fan I will see this musical, but as an Evil Dead fan I'm bound to end up hating it, just like the Evil Dead Video games(excpet the newest one, Bruce Campbell did the voice for it, and so ddi Ted Raimi )
