I watched a funny video about a new gay social dating apps apparently for real man and no bullshit. They are trying to go head to head with grindr and all it's bullshit Watch this video

Now I want to know how do you gay guys feels about evil twink like that? You see I don't hate anyone and fem and masc guys can both be sexy to me. But why do some gays guys feel like they MUST behave like this in order to be gay. I'm in a fashion university and god sometime I just feel like punching walls. Some guys are so mean spirited and evil that they literally deserved to be slap. They are skinny, hate fat people, idolise Kim kardashian and are looking for a "power top with lots of money and a big dick" ( I heard them say it) and as i said they bully everyone in the campus.

Sometime I wanna go to gay clubs or gay events but when I think about these guys I just stay home. I feel like the general public see all the gay community like that and thats probably the reason why people have a hard time to respect gay people in general.

Seriously?

That's just another thorn in the already knifesharp community of the gay society that discriminate even ourselfs and others within our small group. It's terrible.

There's mean people everywhere, just so you know.

So what if they want a "power top with lots of money and a big dick", there's just as many people out there searching for a "skinny, submissive boy with a deep ass", or whatever.
People have different preferences.

Just as there are women who want a fit, wealthy guy with a great job...and men who want women who are self-reliant, with perfect bodies...I think shallowness tends to be a modern human condition more than it is something "evil twinks" do.

You're missing my point, I said it clearly at the start that it was a none hate thread, I don't hat masc or Fem guys I even said I found them sexy. I'm talking about Evil twinks, not twinks in general, Evil fucking twinks. And you clearly must not frequent a lot of gay scene if you don't understand what I'm talking about. The question is why do a lot of gay guys act this way or feel the need to act this way to be gay? The proof is that in people mind when they think of someone gay they directly think of an "evil twink" as if all gay guys are like that.

Once again it's not a hate thread If you can't understand me, then go out of it.I can understand where you coming from, you're a twink so you probably thought I was insulting you. but once again i''m not I'm talking about a certain type of twink.

And pleas the different taste speech? Sister we're both gay we clearly know that our community is wide(bears, twink, bbc, size queens, scene queens,pup....)
But when you go out for a guy only because he as a big dick and lots of money it might be a taste. But I call that being shallow and sad. extremely sad. Period.

LOL...that was funny, but I am taking the vid in the context of all of MISTER's video promos. He/they also poke fun at bears, daddys & gym rats and other lables that gay men assign themselves and others.
I do not see the aim as being offensive....I see it as getting the community to take a hard look in the mirror. It is very clever.

I think its quite Normal and Natural with some, all power to them
Imagine they get persecuted enuf, without any adding to it, for no particular reason
adding evil into the mix, does not help at all
Just accept and enjoy there company & behaviours, i think

obvious overly extravagant persons, excluded' of course

This is so frustrating you guys do not get my point =(

I know these guys are free to do what ever they want and I do not have the right to judge them. I'm not bashing them once again it's a none hate thread. keep in mind that I'm quite young (19) and I was kind of explaining basically my first year of uni and the majority of guys I met in the london gay scene. I was just wondering why some guys feels the need to be loud mean egocentric bitchy in order to be gay. Some of my queens friends sometime feel like their putting on a show, as if it's not them but they have to act like that in order to be gay. But also why does in movies and pop culture people only recognise us gay people by this stereotype?

I hope this time I'm clearer =)

no, youre not any clearer because you keep repeating the same bullshit that proves you havent comprehended anything anyone has said to you. the problem is YOU inferring that they are simply playing a role or living up to a stereotype because they think thats their duty as gay people. they dont. to my knowledge, no one does that, so stop suggesting it because its extremely condescending.

also why is this attitude that the video features only a problem for "twinks"? it is also prevalent among "real men"

The commercial there was ridiculous. People are people, there are people that post amazingly specific shit on craigslist all the time, same thing different day. People have different tastes. Expressing distain for everything that you don't like is rude. There are plenty of over 40 "real men" that use mister that are exactly as specific and snotty as the caricature in that video/ad, but not as vocal and saying "girlfriend" after every word.

To get to the point you make in another post it's "safe" using gays as the "fairy" making them obvious to the point of no return. It's harder making a gay man or woman into a complex character that you want to get to know when you're selling tickets to mass market media. And of course there was a time when there was extreme self censorship in Hollywood, even the mentioning of something gay could get a film held back and edited to appease the film bosses.

See "The Celluloid Closet" narrated by Lily Tomlin for a history of gay portrayals on film.

You're the one missing the point being made: They're that way because that's just how they are. They just feel the need to be like that for god knows what reason.

People act all types of different ways to get noticed. Some act like assholes, some act like humanitarians, and some act like they have to fall into stereotypes. People have all sorts of fronts that they put up so people will be noticed, it's just who they are. Why do they do it? Who knows? Pressure to fit into society?

This was supposed to be a discussion not Eovia vs LPSG to the people who replied to me nicely and tried to explain their point of view in a composed way Thank you. I feel like we had a debate and I understood some bits and bobs of what you meant, we socialised =)

Any admin passing by please close this thread. I don't want it to go downhill.
Sadly, next time I have some opinion I'll just shut up and don't post anything here.
