This is assuming big cocks are genetic

this would only happen if people with small cocks died without reproducing, so unless women reject men purely on penis size it's not going to happen

and even then it would only increase the average rather than them actually being longer

Not being a geneticist nor physical anthropologist I have to be careful in what I write here. A thousand years ago the tallest people in Europe were the Celts of Ireland and the northern and western fringes of Britain. Their descendants of the 18C became smaller in stature because of adulterated food and atrocious working conditions imposed on them by the industrial revelution.

Penis size has nothing to do with success in passing on one's genes. The leveling out theory is valid. Very tall couples will have shorter children, very short couples will have taller children. It would be difficult to collect data on penis size to the same extent. Unscientific observation inclines me to believe large penises do run in families but would be silly to assume each generation would be bigger than the previous.

Damn, I wrote up a long reply to justify why I don't think a change in size is likely, but then the site crashed. If the change will happen it will be very very slow, even in evolutionary terms. The main reasons being that penis size might be hereditary through the mother, which would take even longer to get to larger size overall. The other reason is that size is usually only an advantage all other things being equal, but even then not all think that bigger is better. Of course all other things are not equal.

I'd like to add I'm very impressed impressed with this discussion. I am far from a scientist, only someone interested in evolutionary theory and a novice at it at best. However I like the subject a lot and this subject although not terribly important in the grand scheme of life is interesting and thought provoking.

"extintion is the rule, evolution is the execption"
we must change, how, and since females choose their sexual reproductive partners, and everthing is genetic, domminant gene or not, i'm only asking what could, or is most likely to happen, sine the notion of "bigger is better" is apart of out society, that's why communism doesn't work, we all want more! thats why we build bigger and taller skyscrapers, bigger better weponary ect.. human nature

Please don't be pissed at me for resurrecting this debate. However, when I chat with younger guys and watch videos, it does seem they have bigger cocks on average. Maybe less body fat and shaving which seems more common with younger make them look longer. Actually, with the shaving, I wonder if they are more consumed with appearance than older and lie about their sizes. One rascal told me he was 8 inches... of course, and when I commented on the validity of his size, he said all the guys he knows are long and thinks younger guys are bigger.

No. Evolutionary changes take much much longer than a few hundred years, at least in a species with generations that span as much time as human generations. The shorter the span of the generation the shorter amount of time in which evolutionary changes might be seen. The factor is no explicitly time, but the number of generations that have passed, and there is specific formula dictating that a change will appear after X generations.

That being said, humans have significantly larger penises than any other great ape. Most great apes have much smaller penises as well as much larger testicles. Anthropologists believe this is because of how mating occurs between different species. In a species in which a single male mates with many females penis size is of less value, but the ability produce more sperm is much more important as a male will mate with many different females in any given day impregnating as many females as possible. Humans are much more monogamous than any other great ape. Testicle size is less important in humans because there is less of an urgent need to impregnate a female immediately, there is more opportunity to make multiple attempts. Conversely, a larger penis is thought to be more valuable because in theory it will produce more orgasms, strengthening the bond between mates.

Desmond Morris explains this in much better detail, and much better than I could, in his book The Naked Ape. It might be a little dated by now, but its still a very interesting book that examines humanity the same way we would examine any other species and without the bias, or at least attempting to remove all bias, of being human.

I don't believe there will be any significant change in the size of human penises in the future, at least not until a much more dramatic change in human existence is realized, or a catastrophic event which greatly reduces the breeding population of humans and limits that group larger to those carrying traits of a specific size, as unlikely as that would be.

Humans have already been mating for hundreds of thousands of years. Unless there is a benefit to humans having larger or smaller penises there is no reason for this to change. Technically, we could breed humans to have specific traits, but why would we believe that that has not already occurred naturally and resulted in the range of penis sizes that are already most suitable.

Big cocks will always be around, it's a gene it seems a lot of people carry, only a few get blessed with it, apparently passed on through the mother.

You have heard of monster cocks in history (rasputin etc) and you still get monsters today.
