The internet has openned my eyes and yet created a lot of confusion regarding the average erect penis size. I enjoy amatuer porn and also some cam websites. There are endless sites of course but it really is confusing to me about penis size.

I consider myself pretty well-endowed at a true 8 1/2" long by 6 1/4 around; and any experience I have ever had sexually if a woman or someone was to comment it typically has been something about my big size being the largest, or go easy, etc. I grew up in the adult theater porn era before internet and in the professional porn other than John Holmes, it always appeared to me that I had as much and maybe more than the guys.

Now, I can look online now and see some of these movies, but even mor the amateur old sites with nudists, or married couples filming themselves, or on cam, or nostalgia sites, and there most of the guys have the little or average 6" penis for the most part. But, if I switch on the current cam male sites, there are endless men who rival or exceed my size and it seems like hundred of thousands and more on amateur home videos or pictures. In fact, I even sometimes take a peek at the Trans cams and some many of these people are huge. Same thing is true with the amateur porn you can download (and I mean the ones that look like shot at home or a motel not professional with actors) so many of the men have very big cocks. Plus, so many of the black guys make me look small. I joke to myself that maybe penises are much larger than they were in the 1970's to 80's or prior to the internet.

So, what exactly is the truth? If we take a radom 100 guys are half going to have really big cocks too? It seems that way or even more! In other words the idea that average is 6" is b.s. or there are a small number of very small men who bring the average down versus a lot of guys being just average in size themselves? Again what is the truth?

Truth is nobody will know the average until all adult male cocks are measured and recorded, which will never happen. Plus most guys showing off are confident in their size. I'd imagine a lot of smaller men aren't willing to show it off as are some big men.

Personally I was always afraid to show off my cock because I thought I was small due to porn and guys at school exaggerating their sizes when the topic was brought up, funny how everyone was 8in but me. However, after being sexually active and being a member here I've learned I'm not small but on the larger side of average.

Legit studies consistently come in at 5" to 5-1/2" as the median, with ~80% closely grouped around it.

This site has had the 10"/$10k challenge running for 20 months....no winners, and literally no real entries. Despite all these guys claiming 10" 12" etc. and all the, "I met a guy..." stories. Many legit studies cut off the high end at 9" or less, with 8" being a very consistent 98th percentile, or higher, size.

What we are seeing is more photoshop, more camera angle BS, and more direct manipulation of images to appear larger.

You don't need to measure every single cock to know the average. 10k random subjects is enough to make a reliable statement about the whole male population world wide. What we in fact do know is that the average is way below the 6" the OP states.

The BJUI meta-analysis took 15,000 subjects from studies worldwide. Their median was 5.2". All studies accepted were clinician measured, not self-reported.

With one limitation. The meta analysis of Veale has a way smaller number than 15k of subjects that got measured erect. Nonetheless it's the best we have for now.

Yep, about 600 were erect measurements. They were 0.12cm smaller. The correlation is discussed in the abstract.

I think it'd be more practical to think about the number of hung gentleman in a specific area/your own location. The millions upon millions of men in the Western world can't all be measured, so it'd be much more relevant to specify the search to a specific area, like your city, region, state, etc.

It's a US census year, so this could be added.....

Only true if the men measured were a truly random sample. What happens with voluntary participation or self-selecting surveys is that outliers are much more likely to choose to participate.

That's right! I believe there is a blank place on the form where the citizenship question was finally removed (Blocked Citizenship Question Not Likely To Lower Census Response, Bureau Finds)... But would the census workers have to verify the person's claim? And would the question give an advantage to any any group? Would it be used to draw congressional districts? Could it be used to predict economic growth? (https://helda.helsinki.fi/bitstream/handle/10138/27239/maleorga.pdf)

So many possibilities...

I mean I literally said random subjects ;)

In the other cases the real average will be even smaller than you'd get as a result.
