I don't think they sell the Audi A1 in the States. The VW Polo is called the Rabbit here I believe. I've had bad luck with VW cars and Audis having electrical problems and requiring costly repairs. No thanks, never again me thinks.
Ahh yeh - VW America doesn't have a brilliant rep, I hear. :/ I'm guessin' the cars are made over there rather than shipped over? Polo is sized between the Fox (and new UP) and the Golf/Rabbit.

LOL! :tongue:

In SA, we have the VW Polo Vivo, Fiat Punto and Ford Figo as entry level vehicles. They are basically the older models (2009/2010 Polo hatch/classic, Fiat Punto and Ford Fiesta) except with some styling/aesthestic changes such as newer interior as well as bumpers and lights. So you get a brand new car with decent specs, for a great price. Not sure if those are available anywhere else, though.

The Opel Corsa and Honda Jazz (fit) are also great cars that, unlike the Mini or smart, won't be a constant reminder of how actually tiny they are (try sitting at the back if you're not pint-sized or packing luggage for a trip). The fuel economy of the opel and honda is fair as well.
I've heard that the Mini is a fun car with just a bit of ostentation, which is why many initially decide to get it.

Also, with cars like the Mini and Smart, one tends to be under the impression that replacing and fixing things will be expensive, because they're under the luxury car manufacturers.

The 2011 chev spark is also not too bad looking. I remember first seeing them in the 2nd/3rd Transformers film.

There's also the citroen c3 with it's 'only a mother could love that face' design. Not sure about fuel though.

As others have mentioned, the toyota yaris, mazda 2 and fiesta variants are great as well.
And the Peugeot 207, but I haven't been in one so I wouldn't be able to comment.

Yeah, these are what come to mind. Might add more confusion though ;)

^ Don't think they get the Peugeot 207 or Citroen C3 in the States. The Citroen DS3 would is cool tho, if you live in a country that sells it. :p

Opel Corsa's (GM) aren't available there, either - they only get the Chevy Spark and Aveo. :p

Decent UK-spec superminis are as follows: Mini, Mazda2, Audi A1, VW Polo, Skoda Fabia, VW Up, Fiat Panda, Peugeot 208 (sexy), Vauxhall Corsa, Toyota Yaris, Renaultsport Twingo and Kia Rio.

Best of these are the Fiesta, Polo, Mazda2, Mini, Citroen DS3 and Audi A1. :p

What you're left with then, in terms of the US is the Fiesta and the Mini. :p Unless you import a Renault Twizy. :D

Yess, I have trouble stuffing my gigantic knob into tiny car too. I usually tie it into a preztel and stick my legs in each hole to get some sort of comfort, but it isn't ideal. As for my mountainous bollocks, I just put them on my lap, resting my arms on them while I'm droping, hoping they'll act as an airbag when an accident is to happen, but so far I wasn't unfortunate enough to figure out if that works.

FUCK. I really should stop posting things like this, knowing there's guys out there who probably jerk off to post like this. Yeaah, don't even try to tell me that there's no depraved enough souls on LPSG who do this. I've read way too many posts here to not know that.

all these cars are not available in the us market... :(
Just a MINI or a Ford Fiesta then (or Fiat 500, I guess?) :p
I took a look at VW America's site and they do offer the Golf - but not really small, or inexpensive ($17,995).

Actually - I think VW should export Skodas to the US badged as VWs. Roomy, inexpensive and good quality. Exactly what VW itself used to be!!!
Skoda Fabia could be the new VW Rabbit
Rapid = VW Jetta
Octavia = VW Passat.

Sorted! :biggrin1:

We don't have the Polo in the States then. I think VW has factories in Mexico where they make most of the smaller cars for N. America. They used to make the old Beetle there for the Mexican market. VW has a factory in Tennessee but I think it's for their larger cars.

Funny no one has mentioned the Smart Car or the itty bitty Fiat. I guess they don't get as good mileage as you would think.
