ok so there's this guy I like and i'm sure he's gay but I don't really have any way of starting a conversation with him
so I've decided I am going to somehow correspond with himon facebook but I have no idea what to say
I want him to know I'm gay and know I'm interested in him but at the same time be able to cop out if he turns out to be straight
    suggestions?

Well, first off, if you're gay, you may want to change your percentile on here (LOL).

Secondly, drop him a line, you never know what may come of it. Rather...don't be so gung ho about it. Just make conversation. You never know where it may lead.

You might start out by saying on facebook that you are adding new friends, and would he mind if you added him.

That's innocent enough. From there, I think you can handle it.

Is he gay/bi? Do you know him in real life? If so, then why not tell him this stuff in person?

Facebook has been nothing but a pain for me lately.

You could start by poking him then inviting him to join the group "Enough with the poking, let's just have sex".

That's just stupid, don't do that.

That's a thought. Or since he is not a complete stranger ask him if he wants to hang out together this weekend. What is it you young people do for fun these days?:confused: Perhaps you could go to a movie, play hackey sack, j/o together while watching porn. I know! tell him you have to buy new underwear and you are looking for a specific brand because you have trouble fitting in Hanes.

The specific SuperPoke I recommend is "teabag." Especially if it's out of the blue.

Find something on his profile to start a conversation with him about. It's a start, and if its something you have in common or you have legitimate interest in, all the better. Good luck.

yeah just converse about everyday things like you would with anyone else uve just met, what you like, what you did today, last week, see what you have in common that you both like, maybe that will lead to a date to persue these interest..

If you want someone to come up with a clever conversation breaker ask for it.
I doubt that will happen though.

Sometimes you just have to say hello and take it from there. This is the only way to gain experience points in life and on line. Roll with it.

    Sounds like you lack confidence?

If he is not interested, so what? "No" from one guy does not necessarily mean the end of a gay world. There are plenty guys out there.

    Good luck.

I haven't got a facebook or myspace or bepo account, so was wondering if any of you could point me in the right direction. Is one better than the other ? Can you post youtube videos of yourself on any of the accounts or something of the like ?

I prefer Facebook to mySpace. You can do a lot more, like play games against your friends and waste a serious amount of time goofing off. You also don't get inundated with ads like you do on mySpace. And you have a much higher degree of control over your privacy on Facebook. Having had a scary mySpace stalker once that was a big plus for me.

The user interface is a little hard to get used to at first, but I liken it to driving a manual car. You'll stall a few times and then one day, "hey, I know how to drive this thing."

Thanks ! I know myspace is still quite popular, especially among the more famous and celebrity like, but facebook appears to be the way of the future judging by the many articles and what some of my mates have said to me about it. Bepo is quite popular too in the UK and other parts of Europe so that's a plus too.
