Facebook has a worldwide outage. Hallelujah! There is hope for humanity!
I prayed for this day but never believed it would happen.

I am not on facebook, but outrage fades fast. Humanity moves slowly from bad to worse with pauses that give us false hope that there will be change and then returns to chaos.

I quit Fakebook over a year ago now, and I don't miss it one bit. Too much hacking, trolling and toxicity. I'll never go back to it. I detest how social media has replaced face to face contact. Being friends on Fakebook, but not seeing each other in real life is pointless.

No! It’s the only way I can stay in touch with family without actually having to see them!:p
It was my birthday on the11th...61...yay : ): ) don't look a day over 50 so I'm told :)........yet for every grandkid, daughter or son I go to a shop.......be careful in my selection of card.........always write...hand written from Poppy, I love you. Buy a voucher, go to the post office, do all that stuff like oldies do. And very lucky to get a text in reply....

Last one was on the 15th....so I filled it with those glittery star things and birthday cast on table things............Hhahahahahahaha...guess every time they see a glittery star the vacuum missed they will think of Poppy. :) hahahahaha

Why, because my Grandmother, every birthday sent us a card with a casket ticket in it 40-50 years ago...........back then it meant not much to a teenager............but as far as memories go.....especially in this day and age of digitally instant.....I will always remember those cards coming in the mail and think of my Grandmother on my birthday.. Because she actually spent her time..more than a few moments....thinking of me....one of her many grandchildren on their birthday.

I don't advertise it much....but hey....everyone seems to be carking it in their sixties these days :) :)

Thank you beautiful....I sneak a peek, or snuck.... now and then...you're an intimidating character and should never underestimate your qualities. Some pretty powerful stuff lurking behind those specs :)

Couple things about Faceplant, er, Facebook
A. Don't compare your everyday to someone else's highlight reel.
2. It's called a Newsfeed but it shouldn't replace actual journalism.
Pi. Facebook isn't the product, it's the delivery service. You are the product.
IV. Put the dann phone in your pocket and interact with living beings.

I totally agree. It’s just a thing. It’s how you use it.

I’m far more cranky about overall phone usage. I will reiterate what you say - put the darn thing in your pocket and interact with actual human beings! Have a conversation! Look up!

I'm proud to say I did not notice Facebook went down. I have maybe posted once since the beginning of the year. I'm more a family lurker there.

Now, if Pinterest should suddenly tank I'm a goner!

Oh and happy birthday @vibrationzzz! On the Internet you're not a day over 29 you know!

Smooches!

Me, too. I check in almost daily there. Read memes. Check out how my cousins are doing. Rarely post. Maybe that’s why you and I aren’t FB buddies?! We’d learn absolutely nothing about each other! :joy:
