Sorry, I have to get into this one?

The average PE procedure done well is definitely not "30-minutes" I am sad to say. I wish that I could say that these all went well. I have seen the good and the bad. A "good" job varies in time by the anatomy of the subject at hand.

In order to do a lengthening procedure, one has to enter the incision or incisions depending on the MD and technique. Then the cutting and sometimes repositioning begins. One has to sever the suspensory ligament and in some cases reposition it creating an anchor point. Then one has to do the same with the fundiform ligament. The most difficult part of this procedure is the cleaning out and remodeling of what is called the "penile web". This one is more time consuming because it is more variable. In an actual surgical procedure you are looking depending on the structure of the individual at between one and two hours if it is done well. This is not a quick snip-snip.

If one wants girth enhancement again techniques are variable from MD to MD. Again I do not approve of all of them. This requires multiple incisions on the penis and the insertion of the material of choice which may be a dermal graft, Alloderm or other new product to accomplish the deed. This is again in either a single or a dual augmentation procedure done under general anesthetic and takes time. A dual augmentation procedure which deals with both length and girth enhancement at the same time can take up to 4 hours on the table.

Many years ago, the FDA outlawed the injection of "silicone" into a penis inside United States borders. Silicone is being used in Mexico and there are several similar products being used in South America. The products being used in South America where cosmetic surgery including PE is available under the government operated medical programs appears to be somewhat better, and the MD's using it down there do not seem to have the problems of the people in Mexico at creating grotesque disasters.

The product you are discussing is only as I understand it approved by the FDA for facial reconstruction. There are in fact multiple products used in facial procedures which are not legal under FDA guidelines for injection anywhere other than the face and any MD using these products in ways not approved is risking his career and his medical license under federal and some state guidelines. There are many who take these risks, but, most of them as problems happen lose their licenses when things go wrong.

The main problem with injectable materials is an immune response called "encapsulation". Some parts of the body are very prone to this and others are not. The female breast and the male penis both have high percentages of problems with this phenomena. On those who will have the problem, it can start anywhere from one to five years after the procedure was completed.

To treat this one, long incisions must be made the entire length of the penis. The effect and procedure is not unlike the manner in which we peel a banana. I personally helped two men through this and then the microsurgery necessary to minimize the scarring as a "revision" after the first stage healing had taken place. The Surgeon doing the removal must then peel back the tissues and has to very carefully remove not only the encapsulated material, but he has to remove the tough fibrous tissue which has encapsulated it. This is time consuming and difficult. Some of these "removals" have taken multiple surgical procedures to accomplish. Again this is NOT a walk in the park and to the best of my knowledge there is only one remaining Surgeon with the skill to do these really well. I attended the retirement party for the second one at the end of last month.

It can cost you $1,000 to inject it and it can cost you $30,000 or more to get it fixed afterward.

I handled another case of a fellow who wrote to the estate of the late Gary Griffin. This man was from Nashville and had tons of money from the Country Music business. He spent $10,000 with a surgeon in Florida trying to turn 5 inches into 8. He then spent $50,000 trying to get the original 5 back. He was very lucky in that he had two very good surgeons and in the end many surgeries later he ended up with 6 inches and was elated.

There are all kinds of false promises out there on PE from surgeons. Most of them are no more true than the ads for herbal garbage we are all bombarded with.

There are new techniques under development. I am aware and in the pipeline for some new stuff being worked on which is totally new. At present the total number of men having experienced these new techniques is just over one-dozen. Though nothing like in the past, so far, there have already been a few growing pains with these new techniques and there have been two patients which had some problems. The only thing that these new techniques do right now is lengthening. The same MD's are working on new techniques for girth enhancement, but, these are still completely experimental and have not left the initial R and D stages as yet.

There are many forums which have gross exaggerations and other misinformation contained within their text. I operate a yahoo group dealing with the aftermath of what happens when these surgeries go wrong. In that group, I have multiple members who are in the employ of these surgeons, and, because many of these men are paid by their employers on commission they have multiple group identities. I suspect that one fellow may have as many as seven identities. The game is talk up the surgeon who pays you those commission checks, and call all the other guys "butchers". If you need to, you make up another false identity and you say: "Dr. Jones is just great I was in and out and Dr. Jones helped me gain 3 inches." or "Dr. Smith is a butcher he abandoned me and he would not see me after I had a problem, and he refused to help me." This is another way to attract business away from a competitor.

The biggest guideline is that to this day the FDA has never given it's stamp of approval to any current form of PE surgery because of the track record and percentage of problems per number of surgeries completed. These surgeries have existed now in the United States for more than 20 years. Dr. Ricardo Samitier introduced these surgeries into Florida more than two decades ago. Dr Samitier by the way is now in prison because he got "sloppy" and a simple PE surgery resulted in death. Samitier in the beginning actually had good results. He charged about $3,500 for lengthening and before greed took over, he did a good job. When it became this incredible "cash cow" he started working more and more hours, and becoming more and more sloppy in sterile techniques and other things which created problems. There are incredible stories of problems towards the end before the death.

Did u read any of my posts dude? I was referring to ONLY the restylane filler procedure, and stated multiple times that it is BY FAR a safer procedure than any other true PE surgical procedure, I would never consider one of them. I've seen people get restylane pumped into their faces, it takes 5 minutes tops. Figure 30 mins for a dick. No knives. No cuts. No incisions. No ligaments. No downtime. No stretching for years on end. No jelqing for years on end. Instant results. CHEAP.

Have you guys researched what restylane is? If you don't like it, you can inject another substance that will dissolve it within a few hours.

this is gonna make a lotta plastic surgeons rich

and a lotta PI lawyers even richer!

No way man, have you ever seen the needles they use for restylane injections? Thinnest needles on the planet, PI lawyers will get rich from people who will still choose the barbaric methods of penile enlargement surgery that involved the cutting of ligaments and peeling back of the penile skin for fat grafts. BARBARIC in comparison to some facial filler.

Restylane does indeed use very fine needles, these are as fine or finer than those used with insulin. It is great and has been used in facial repair for HIV patients when the medications make a mess causing tissue to leave in certain areas. It has many uses and is approved by the FDA for usage in facial reconstruction.

There are hacks out there who have implanted foreign substances into genitals that are far worse than Restylane. Where the problem with Restylane happens is that it is not approved by the FDA for usage in penis enlargement.

The next problem with any filler is that as a foreign substance or what is commonly in medicine referred to as a "foreign body", is still an encapsulation reaction. I would imagine that there are places where this IS being used. The problem is the reaction long term.

I would agree with you on many points. The last "wonderful invention" that failed was a substance made by Life Cell trade named Alloderm. Alloderm is a great product. It is actual human tissue harvested from cadavers, made biologically inert to not cause a rejection reaction, and it's designated original purpose was for burn victims. What the design intended was that a person who was badly burned and did not have skin for grafting could use Alloderm to cover and seal the wounds. The problem was that it worked very well for burn victims saving thousands of lives and helping keep out horrific infection. Where it failed was that because it was not designed for implantation, when it was implanted nobody knew what the reactions would be. What was found over time was that when implanted the encapsulation reaction still took place in a percentage of patients.

What scares me is that men will read this thinking that Restylane is automatically going to solve their problems and it will be the next new thing injected by hacks in Mexico.

The only way that Restylane will make plastic surgeons rich is if it is used as per FDA guidelines which is not penile injections at this time. It will not make a ton of PI attorneys rich either because this does not fall under PI, it falls instead under medical malpractice.

There are moves taking place right now to ban all forms of penis enlargement. The FDA has cracked down and vacuum pumping and other devices are being confiscated from Airline Luggage at airports. Imported devices are now considered contraband and shipments are being grabbed by U.S. Customs. California is investigating the procedures and the hearings could ban all male enhancement surgical procedures in that State and the FEDS are watching California.

Nobody knows where this is going to end. I can tell you that the use of another non approved product by those placing dollars ahead of results is not going to help an already bad situation.

Excellent point. There are always going to be people that would rather do things the easy way regardless of risks, costs, or side effects- even when the "hard" way yields multiple benefits above anything the easy way ever could.

Compare the specific kinds of injuries you see on Thunder's with those you'll find on other forums like PEGym. I mention this because not all injury claims are "legit", and some forums are more on the ball at spotting these things than others. Some of these PE forums have been plagued for years by trolls.

Concerning your reference to injuries from weight training- if you can't fault the person getting injured, then whom/what do you fault- the equipment? The gym owner? The author of the routine that the individual is following?

If the gym equipment is in working order, barring any unusual structural anomalies, people that injure themselves usually do so due to a fault in their training- insufficient preparation, too much weight, poor form, training through a previous injury, using a regimen that they're not suited for, etc.

On those forums, compare the rate of injuries to the number of men doing PE. I've counseled many men with their training over the course of a decade- plus (with most of them having some previous PE experience), and I can tell you that anything above minor or cosmetic issues are not common.

If you're doing PE for 3-4 years and only gain 1/2", either you're extremely resistant to PE, or you're doing something wrong.

As far as your feeling safer getting a surgical procedure done, you're entitled to your opinion. Still, even if you get the size you desire, surgery does absolutely nothing for the most important part of PE training- which is building stamina and control. PE should be about more than just "size".

Weight training injuries are usually self-healing during a period of rest.

That's what I'd expect. Unfortunately, that is not necessarily true with surgical procedures.

Not only do most penile surgical procedures leave your penis incapacitated for 6 weeks (causing atrophy through disuse), but the key to success with these surgeries is the post-surgical treatment requiring almost constant tension to ensure that the ligaments don't reattach themselves.

As for injuries related to PE surgeries, they abound. It should also be noted that it's been reported that most men are dissatisfied with the results of their procedures.

Here's an eye-opening post on a horrible post-surgical experience from a gentleman that a.) had his own PE surgery site, and b.) supposedly had the "best" connections: Re: What exactly do they do in PE surgery

just a question I have always had with people who inject anything liquid into their penis - doesn't the act of jerking off or getting hard and then soft, gravity etc move the liquid into one spot? Never understood how it all stays in one place - the penis is sort of a dynamic organ.

I read most of that; it was horrible. I wonder why such risky procedures, which are purely cosmetic are permitted.

Guys - I have a few friends who have had silicone injected into their penis. Honestly - they have had it for years.

When done slowly / gradually (small amount each time, let it settle, go back and do more in 1 year) - it actually looks great.

You all can opine, judge, criticize - but if you do, start off when personal experiences of friends who have done it responsibly. Then share exactly why they didn't like it.

Drop the emotion (or is that jealously?). I agree with Skull Mason - probably a good technique.

A horror story like this SHOULD be a lesson to all of us. Sorry Big Al, I had to read the story, comments and view the pictures in small doses - took me two days to slog through it all. I will also maintain my opinion that invasive techniques are not for me.

Thank you Al, for the information and the anecdote...

But fuck you, because you put me off my lunch. :icon16:

Well, you were warned that it would be graphic

I haven't had an update from the gentleman that had that surgery done for quite awhile. Hopefully, he's healed up by now.
