I'm surprised this hasn't been asked before, at least not while I've been a member here.

What do you do with your facial hair, are you fastidious about shaving everyday, or do just let it go until you need to make an effort; do you prefer a beard?

Sorry if I missed any obvious options, add a post!

I'm a self confessed moustache cultivator. I like to play around with the size and shape, letting it grow wild for a while and then sculpting it into a new shape and see how that goes before getting bored and trying something different.

I find shaving overrated. If I shave in the morning I can destroy a girls face by 4pm. Not pleasant. Beards and stubble are so much easier to maintain. Somehow they work out better in the end too.

I'm currently growing my first facial hair...yep, a redneck without a beard. Well, not any more. I'm going for a bushy but impeccable circle beard.

Blond beards take a lot of length to be visible, and consequently a long time to grow. I'm currently 3 weeks in. And I'm getting compliments.

I have had a full beard for nearly 4 years striaght and only short stubble at times in between when that was not a case. Haven't used a razor in more than 2 years.

I hate shaving.
But my job requires a certain level of professional appearance.... so I shave every three days ...
If I'm with my gf, I have to do it every day.... her skin is sensitive and gets pretty roughed up by the stubble, if I don't.

im with socal, shaving sucks. had one job where i had to shave every day and i quit it after a few months.
been rocking some form of facial hair or another since college, currently in well kept beard phase

Love a man with a medium size well groomed thick.beard.. when he is wearing a suit it makes him look incredibly sexy and desirable makes me want to touch, stroke and play with ity.
Any colour beard looks.nice but I am particularly fond of thick blond or red beards

Everyone comments on my facial hair (if you wanna call it that) when it gets to a certain point. It's always, "Growing a beard now?". My response is always that I'm too lazy to shave at the moment. Usually it gets done within two days of a comment though.

Usually I shave once every 3 - 4 days. But now I'm growing a beard for about 8 months but I trim it with a haircutter so it is not very long... But I keep it without moustache. It is very comfortable for the winter season... I suppose I will shave it for the summer.

Finally, at age 62, I just got tired of shaving. So I've stopped. I pay a barber $8 every two weeks to trim it. I plan on staying bearded from now on.

P.S. It's been proved that a beard is actually cooler in the summer than is clean-shaved.

I prefer facial hair of any time more so than the clean shaven look but that's not to say that I don't admire a nice clean shaven look but I prefer facial hair more.

I tend to shave my facial hair when my mustache gets so long that it tickles my lips then I shave it all off. If I don't feel like shaving or if I don't want to shave I'll just trim it down real small.
I don't think I have the face nor the look to be clean shaven. It's just not me.

I shave every day because my beard is very coarse and my partner does not like the feel of it near any sensitive areas... but I did notice when I was single I got hit on more often with stubble for some reason.

For the last 30 years, I've had either a full beard or a goatee. I shave it off only if I'm doing a show where it's required - but I usually try to talk the director into believing facial hair is better for the character!

I wish I could do the "perpetual stubble"...like Bradley Cooper. But I've never been able to figure out how to keep it trimmed right. Any tips?
