Lordpendragon, regarding your "signature:" How about if I stand while someone gives me head, and if anyone is on the roof, you can point your dick into his moon?

(I hope I understood correctly...)

We are talking the same language.

I have never found any of your posts objectionable. I realize I haven't been logging on as frequently, (I've been dealing with alot of *?%@ lately) but the ones I have seen have seemed very reasonable. Are there a few members that throw me into a rant mode or post crap I refuse to read? Absolutely.

Part of this for me is that during the transition of ownership, we lost some very special contributors to the board. I don't think this is attributed directly to the new owner, as I noticed that the posts were beginning to get a bit more raunchy even before the change.

My particular concern is that many of the people I consider the intellectuals and deep thinkers of the board have either bailed, are now remaining silent, or are less vocal when they do post.

The last few times I have logged on and contributed, I will admit I have been rather cranky and somewhat of a bitch. My only excuse is that so many of the posts are all about the "look at me" people or people cruising for sexual connections. I admittedly resent that the Women's Issues and Et Cetera sections no longer reflect "real" topics, but are all about sex and tripe that can be found on many poorly constructed sex blogs. Sex is a nice topic in itself, but I do not have much patience for people looking for affirmation of their character or unique characteristics.

I too get my feelings hurt at times, but it is just a blog. Never being the percieved target of the moderators, I cannot speak to this concern. The moderators I know and admire from their "pre-moderator" days have always seemed fair. I have noticed that they do not post as much, which is a shame.

I guess my question is "What is really hurtful to the group as a whole?" I know what changes I see that I don't like, but that doesn't necessarily mean the majority agrees.

Anyway, good luck with your survey of opinion. I hope I have helped in some way.

CC9

Amazing CC9,

And thank you.

I do the same "skipping" by the superfluous stuff you do. I've done a fair share of it already in this thread alone. I take this board as seriously as I do all things in life. I take things seriously. It's my make up and it's something that's served me well thus far. I have it on good authority the mods in question take the place damned seriously too. One has stated so personally to me in fact.

Thanks for your insight and civility. It's heartening. I'm glad my intent wasn't lost on you.

Best regards, Stronzo

this thread reminds me of nothing so much as the wheelchair-bound retarded kid i once watched at the chelsea piers in new york. his parent/tardwrangler bought the kid an ice cream cone. the kid studied it intently for about 15 seconds, then suddenly slammed it straight into his left eye socket, and proceeded to scream the fucking place down.

...People like you and d20, and SenorRubirosa, and Mercurialbliss are fine people with a sense of perspective who don't bring a hidden agenda to this place so I don't mind explaining myself to you guys (jeff black and GoneA and key others are in here too...)

But the rest? Fuck 'em.

Note to those members: You are on Stronzo's good list only as long you don't disagree with his viewpoints/opinions or you keep stroking his ego (trust me when I say that Zora and I --among others-- have the PM trails to prove it). My own PMs went from "I adore you, love--love to you--how was your weekend" to "I don't like you. ...Who do you think you are?!?" (and worse) in less than 36 hours.

Dare you not agree on everything he says and the following happens:

  • If you are straight, you will be deemed a homophobe
  • If you are gay, you will be told that you can't possibly be gay
  • If you are a woman, you will be accused of being a man (or another woman)

The proof of this is ALL over the board. It can't be denied because it has been archived.

Stronzo blasted Picholon yourself and then started a post on Manners.

Stronzo complains his user name is the butt of a joke when he himself encouraged people to do so (and being fluent in Italian, you knew that it meant when you chose it). Click here for that example.

Stronzo defends freedom of speech after starting a thread aimed at limiting what topics other people should start.

Does no one else see the psychosis and/or hypocrisy in it all?

This will be the last bit of attention I give to this particular matter:

Stronzo, if you want the board to be the way you want it -- purchase it from Rob_E and set up your own Mod team and review the rules that they set at your direction and be happy. Or do what prepstud suggested. This quiet, passive-aggressive tantrum is beyond old.

Ah, I knew that one would get you. Keep in mind, though, that square dancing as we know it today in the hills of Appalachia and the Ozarks is very little changed since it was brought here by the same good folks who came over on the Mayflower. It is an ancient and honorable folk tradition.

Much as I asked it not to be a personal attack two of the moderators have reacted in precisely that manner. It's this very sort of thing this thread serves to address and expose. And for me it's telling that both of you cannot maintain a higher level of communication. This is not a personal attack against you Lex or madame_zora for that matter. And you mistake me if I think you solely are at fault in this moderating business. You're not. But you're part of it.

Stop the personal attacks. I prefaced this thread in such a way that it ought to be clear to you. Please stop and look at the thing objectively. That's all I'd ask of any of us.

What you'd serve to do here is degenerative if you truly hope to elevate the level of equality in here. I'm asssuming you do.

Lex?

I don't want it 'my way'. I want it "everyone's way".

But I certainly don't want it yours only. If you don't like me having my say then you purchase the board. I only seek an egalitarianism. Nothing more.

That's clear enough from my taking this stand.

I know its roots and in fact, much as I'm loathe to admit it, we were schooled in it during junior high!

** better be careful there DC with calling those folks on the Mayflower 'good'

I rather like that Pichoun chap. Can't truely agree with his views on the Israel topic, but there's nothing I can complain about.

I think some people should just not take things so personal. That's why I play so many violent computer games and dream of shooting/slashing people!:biggrin1:

Now that's productive. Thanks ORCABOMBER. I've come to that same place about pichulon. I owe him an apology.

Felt that way about "Webster" too as he was bullied out of the place. My point is that isn't it easier to convince by persuasion rather than gang rape? I've learned only recently and through this board's exchange that it is. And that's a good part of what I'm trying to get across here now.

Certainly no one can "force feed" another his or her views. It's a study in futility.

I was unduly harsh on him and he appealed to me for assistance and I bailed. I explained on my manners thread I shouldn't have joined the "gang" and indeed that was the incentive behind my authoring that thread. I hope pichulon reads this.

I don't deserve the thanks. I'm on a permanet drug trip and my "powder de snuff" is testosterone.

Ultimately it's very easy to be mean online, heck I have on other boards, but I remain neutral on most things...heck, I'm more scared of your reputation to be honest! Everyone's always on about "OMFG! STRONZO IS EBIL!" or something.

I realize that's the perception but it's only half true as it is with all of us. But you've nothing to fear from this quarter.

Well, here's my take:

There are the popular kids who enjoy the socialization aspect of the board and post for entertainment purposes - they make jokes, kid, & flirt, but from time to time have something deep & intelligent to say.

Then there are the smart kids - posts are always well articulated, thought out, and their vocabularies cause me to constantly google. I enjoy the threads they hang out in, but my attention span isn't typically long enough to match wits with them.

The trolls who are abvious...

The horny posters, who tend to post under the guise of seriousness, but who are really prompting stroke material; nothing wrong with that I suppose.

The pessimists, who seem negative, but whose posts honestly bring some balance to the board. Dr. Rock, Shelby, etc... they never seem to want to show me their dicks. Oh well. And they never seem to appreciate me appreciating them if they have shown them. But enough about me...

I kind of think that it all boils down to the personality type of each of the posters. Some are "always right" because they have more dominant personalities. Some seem to be quite gregarious because they are able to persuade people through charm. Some are just nasty because they have nothing else better to do, and somehow get affirmation from putting others down. We call them trolls. Everyone else, IMHO, is jerking off...

OK, so this is quite telling about which personality type I am. I skimmed your lengthy, well thought out, and articulate post - and honed in on this. These words are like music to my ears; like the sweet aroma of cookies baking; like mommy's kisses....

Why is it, that every time I take a shot at a meaningful post, that the smart ones flee like roaches when the lights come on?

Hold me...

When the lights come on I freeze. If you don't move they can't see you.
