Mushroom-lentil soup (prepared with panir whey, instead of chicken stock), Chole (aka Channa masalla), Hearty whole grain breads, Squash chilli, pumpkin-sage soup, gingerbread. The list goes on... but the trend is heavier breads, thick hot soups, and spiced sweets.

For me it's Chai Tea made by my favorite indian friend Meenu and a spiced curry lamb dish over basmati rice. So yummy! Someday I'll learn how to make it her way, but it's so nice to be invited over to all those delicious smells! Just heavenly!
