"The German's" episode is my favorite.

John Cleese himself isn't a fan of that episode.
He thinks the two parts, before and after the firedrill, are badly put together, and that it looks like he's waiting for the moosehead and frying pan to hit his head, which of course he was...

'Is this a piece of your brain?'

I don't know ... Holy Grail is one of the best movies ever made, despite a weak ending, but Brian to me is just blanketed in an overall miasma of depression. Not that it doesn't have its moments. Cleese the Legionary forcing Chapman at gladius-point to conjugage his Latin correctly is as good as anything M.P. ever did (even though nothing explodes in the entire scene), and I was laughing so hard I actually had trouble breathing when Chapman fell off the tower into the gratuitous alien spaceship.

Now go away, or I shall taunt you a second time.

I don't know; I thought the ending was perfect. How else should they have ended it? Some big climactic battle or something? All of that buildup, that huge journey through all kinds of hazards (if the Castle Anthrax can really be called a "hazard" ), only to be cut short in seconds by the constabulary and a big "nothing" of a finish with the cheesy electric organ.

Every time I see it, I still sit through the entire organ feature at the end, as stupid as the music is. I think it's fantastic.

I found the stoning scene in Life of Brian to be one of the funniest
moments in film. That plus the Biggus Dickus scene.:biggrin1:

I think I can see his point. It's like three different sketches jammed together. There is the Germans, the fire drill, and the moosehead. Perhaps I have no class when it comes to comedy. I think they its all really funny.

"Helloooo, I speak English. I learned it from a a booook."

"Oh well, if it pains you, you have it out."

"Amazing animal, Fawlty. Japanese, is it?"
"No, Canadian I believe, Major."
"Oh my, I didn't think they were that clever."

Overall loved The Holy Grail more, but found Life of Brian had isolated funnies that I loved more than the ones from the Holy Grail. I also liked Jabberwocky which was a Terry Gilliam film which in some parts was like the Holy Grail in its absurdity. Hated The Meaning of Life and the other one which I can never remember. Funnily enough I never liked Monty Python the series, maybe this was because I was out getting drunk at the age when I would have appreciated it so when I did see it later I was just too grown up to enjoy it (a likely story)
