The mods have just put me on notice that I'm in violation of something they are concerned about. This is fine. But knowing how untruths and bad gossip is du jour on the web site I wish to share the following with anyone who might care.
Subgirrl:
This is not a slam against you. But the gentle and kind "notice" that I am breaking the rules of LPSG is more than I'm willing to deal with.Life's too short. Haven't the time to worry about it. Regardless of what LPSG rules are, the truth is that i did have to hustle on the streets when I was younger For me the truth is more important than a generally "suspect" big pee pee site. Besides, I find I waste far too much time spooking through LPSG threads.
As they say, water finds its own level. In eliminating me from the rosters of LPSG-ers I hope to raise my water level a bit higher. And I'm certain the moderators will revel in thinking their own status has also risen.
Again, this is not a slam against you. I'm sure you're a rather entertaining and fun person, but I need to spend my time on more creative endeavors; NOT LPSG. Let's remove the temptation by canceling my membership. I'm certain that will make the bubble that is LPSG and myself happier. And please share my request with the "board."
Sincerely wishing you nothing the best,
Midlifebear
You received a standard notice. There is a legal requirement or standard here where mention of people in sexual situations is frowned upon if 1 of the participants is under 18. There seems to be ways where it can be referenced if it is between non family and all are under 18 but if there is an adult over 18 then it's wrong to mention. All photos of people under 18 are forbidden even if the person is no longer alive or if they are now over 18....I don't understand legal stuff so this is confusing but rules are rules.
I am hoping you will reconsider and not run away.
You were most likely reacting in anger as can be seen in your post when you say you aren't slamming anyone but then go on to talk about how the moderators will 'revel in thinking their status has risen.' It's not like you to speak that way so I am figuring you were in shock, disbelief and a little irritated at the time. I seem to remember you mentioned a medical matter as well so maybe that is adding to your irritation.
Now to all the others who are complaining about the board changing. All boards/forums change. Every one I've ever been at has experienced changes.
Members get older, go through changes with work or with marriage or with having children and their ways of thinking can change. Members get sick and leave, members die.
New members come in and bring in their ideas. Change is constant and some members leave when it no longer brings the same happy feeling it once did. Meanwhile new members come in and discover a happy feeling they didn't have before but in 6 or 7 years they may be crying that it isn't what it used to be. At that time maybe the board will have gone back towards what it was a few years ago or in another direction entirely. Try and remember change is constant.
Now back to midlife, please reconsider but if you decide to stay gone, thank you for all you contributed you will be missed.
