Do you fart openly among your friends and lovers?

I think it's a bit offensive and I usually just hold it in and excuse myself to the bathroom if I have to release it. Even with a lover I would usually ask for permission out of courtesy. But I know a couple guy friends that will fart openly when they are with a group of friends that includes both men and women and their girlfriend. I guess it means they are comfortable around their friends, but I still consider it a bit childish (for guys that are in their 30's!). They usually do it and joke about it, and usually do it repeatedly.

Personally i find it embarrassing to do it....its a bodily function though so if someone close to you is comfortable in your presence and they do it i tend to laugh it off....i have the other rude habit of burping when i'm in front of others, some people find that offensive but the 'better out than in' philosophy always good for coming into play
