Size 8 was "fashion-model thin" in the late 1980's, fyi.
Thank you for telling his Godliness the truth! I was wondering when a size 8 became plump or even curvy.

I did runway modeling from 1991-1994 and as a size 6 I was too small for the sample dresses. They would often have to be pinned onto me. I'm not sure what the standard model size is now but I bet it's not far off a size 8.

I'm a big girl - and don't feel any need to try harder to make up for the fact that most men won't find me attractive, and let me tell you why.... I don't fuck the "most" men of which you mention. I don't do being second best, so I go for men who really appreciate the larger curves I have on offer.

It always surprises me how some women feel the need to be rude about bigger girls, to put us down and attempt to belittle us in order to make themselves feel superior. What's the point? We aren't going to attract the same guys, so they don't have to feel threatened. Or are they just angry that we don't beat ourselves up about having an appetite?

Am I conventionally beautiful? Nope. But to some guys I am their idea of perfection. And we only need to find that special ONE after all :)

They're probably jealous of the larger tits, honestly.

Your size is perfect by the way, I wouldn't even call that "bigger".

Another vote for the larger gals. I had a girlfriend for a while in college with a model style body and it was like being in bed with a bicycle. If I'm going to be in bed with a woman, I like her to be luscious. If I want a hard body experience, I'll go for a guy.

I think history has shown us that women's dress size no matter the country is an indecipherable hodgepodge designed to confuse men and make women get derisive and hate each other more
Seriously though, a size 8 sounds TWICE as big as a size 4, and it's not truly that. And a size 0? Come on, WTF is that!? Is the woman paper? She's 2 dimensional and has no measurable size? Bullsarse. And I've heard from women that they have problems figuring out the sizes of half of what they wear.

And these "models" are hand picked by a few select people (usually men) and then these few guys force their own personal view of beauty on the world. When 75% of men I know think runway models or a lot of models in general-are just too thin. Look at the Renaissance, or other time periods. Being full and voluptuous and shapely was held up as the view of beauty. Maybe women then were less self-conscious-but then again I doubt it since even when a woman DOES MATCH the popularly idealized view, she can always find something about her body that bothers her. Not picking on you ladies, but it's true. Your man can adore every inch of you, but it's very rare to have a girl not care, truly.

Most models are gross, you're right. Kate Moss? Ick!

Tyra Banks as much as I think she's a ditz, had one of the best model bodies. She had meat on her in all the right places.

In past ages like you said, it was the royal/high class women that were thought of as beautiful if fatter. Mostly because food was more scarce and it was a sign of being rich.

Well fatter girls tend to be dirtier in bed, and tend to have bigger tits.

I'd rather have a dirty horny chubby girl than a stuck up skinny girl who is all timid and "unadventurous"

Of course I had one skinny girl who was dirty but she was over the top dirty. Sucking my finger while I was fucking her, wanting me to pull her hair etc. There's no need for that.

What's wrong with pulling hair? sounds like a good time to me!!

Size 8 was never fashion model size. Never. Fashion model sizes are traditionally 2 and 4. Lately there has been a lot of zero too.

Then why was I able to fit into my runway-model friends' clothes in high school, when I was -- wait. I keep forgetting that jeans size =/= dress size.

I actually was a size six dress and size 8 designer jeans in high school.
I also have wide enough hip bones that being a size 8 in jeans (and 5'7", 115 lbs) made my doctor examine my fingers and gums for signs of bulimia every time I went for a checkup, between every test/ part of the exam. Which was dumb, because I could have told him I binge, then spend forever masturbating. I think fat girls (or girls who eat enough to survive the winter, in my book) just have the energy.

Speaking as a woman with a degree in fashion, who also worked retail, and later did some runway modeling: Fit models were always a size 8, until very recently. The samples that designers send/use for couture shows were usually a size 6 though sometimes a size 8.

Do you realize just how small a size 2 is, for someone as tall as the average runway model? I was a size 2 one summer and couldn't get any work as all the samples fell off me. :frown1: I am 5'8", but that summer I weighed in at a bantam weight of 120 lbs. At 127 pounds I looked and felt much healthier and could wear a size 6 with ease.

Yes, this is correct. My wife is 5'-10" and for many years a size 2. This was in the late 80's and into the 90's when she was working with Elite modeling. She weighed in at 122 pounds which was often questioned as being too heavy. She snuck by because it was obvious that the extra pounds were from weightlifting.

So many of the posts here sound like the generalizations about penis size and ethnicity. Well heavy girls are this way, curvy girls are that way and skinny girls are unhappy. What a bunch of crap.

I personally prefer a skinny athletic chic and there are no protruding bones that get in the way during sex.

I fucked a few gals that were very attractive but skinny when I was a single man, and those hip bones sticking out were just too much, and some were such prudes they didn't like it from behind. I like women with curves. so many diet to keep their ass and bottom side small, and then the top half looks like a holocaust victim. expecially in summer, shoulders and bones sticking out of sleeveless, and backless tops. it looks gross.
