I have absolutely no statistics to back this up (although that doesn't stop anyone else from commenting on this site), but I doubt that the mortality rate is any higher for gay porn actors than it is for individuals in the entertainment industry in general.

Just did a quick Google search and gay porn actor doesn't make the list of most dangerous occupations. (If you're intested, here are the top 5 riskiest jobs: fishermen, timber cutters, airplane pilots, structural metal workers, and taxicab drivers.)

Although Al Parker did nothing for me personally - but with a greater amount of body hair, I would have found him hot, although I have to admire him for his contribution to the gay porn indistry, and his kindness and caring of his partner and others in need. He was highly individual with an eccentric streak, and that made him so original.
I was not overly fond of the pictures of him in his "Jesus" period, as they make him look older than he was, and did nothing for his handsome looks - but with shorter hair (in my humble opinion), he looked far sexier.
